Pack of 4.
The world's No. 1 long lasting AA alkaline battery, according to the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS !
After exhaustive tests of various AA alkaline batteries, GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS have established which battery outperforms its competitors on all the common industry tests. It's the new Evoia battery from Panasonic.
Normal price £3.99 +

I think the following might be the same batteries as linked above but without the 'world record symbol' on the packaging and it is 10p cheaper at £1.79 but I am not certain. http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?&products_id=104773

yh but they die after a few weeks.
The ones that cost the cheapest aren't necessarily the best. It all depends on how long they last for.

Super hot. Thanks.

Does anyone know what exactly makes them so long-lasting?
#10
Reason they last so long;

The increased performance of the new Panasonic EVOIA alkaline battery line-up is the result of revolutionary new design features, materials and production methods. The new thin sealing technology, which maximizes the battery's interior volume and allows additional space for more active materials, and the use of highly purified and densely packed manganese dioxide and finely granulated zinc, all improve the performance of the battery.

Yep. That would do it!

Both types look the same. My guess is that the packaging has changed and they are clearing old stock.

I would expect the Kodak Max batteries at 7dayshop to offer much better value for your money.
You get 24 batteries for £4.49 delivered ( 2 x 12 packs). 18.7p per battery

The posted ones are 47.2p per battery, so would have to last over 2.5 times as long to be better value.
The manufacturers claim 20% longer.

Remeber these are both alkaline - not lithium.

Thanks, ordered mine. Heat and rep added.

Rechargeable, Rechargeable, Rechargeble. Get up to speed you dinosaurs!
Have you not found the delights of "hybrio" type batteries? They come charged in the packet, and keep their charge. The only regular batteries I use now are for things which include them, like remote controls.

the duracell bunny better watchout!!

bet the ladies are happy with these, much more buzzing id imagine lol!!

How much do these cost and where from.?

I have used rechargeable in the past but they did not hold their charge for very long especially in a camera

£5 for a pack of 4 AA from 7dayshop here

Brands of this type are:
Sanyo Eneloop
Uniross Hybrio
Vapextech instant
Kodak Pre-charged
GP ReCyko
CAMLINK Ready 2 go
Panasonic Infinium

They have a capacity of around 2100mAh for AA (lower capacity than standard rechargeable) and they cost more. However a regular rechargable will leak charge and after around 2 weeks will have less than 2100mAh remaining charge. These batteries are therefore best in any situation where you would not normally charge them more frequently than every 2 weeks.

Thanks fof all the links in this post. Didn't buy the original deal (although good price) although did buy rechargeable CRV3 batteries and a charger for my digital camera which eats alkaline batteries and normal rechargeables.
Have also bookmarked the site as seem to be very keen prices on lots of related gear

Just think of all that high tech highly energy-intensive stuff you throw away every time, because you don't use rechargeables.

Just ordered 4 packs - thanks!

Do have recargeable for most things but these will come in handy when 9 year old son informs me his 2nd wireless controller for PS3 is not working as he forgot to charge batteries and he wants to play 2 player game :p

They will, but if you teach your 9 year old son to take responsibility for charging his own batteries, then maybe he'll become a bit more aware of the need to conserve resources. After all, he's going to suffer the consequences of our waste must more than we are.

Ordered twice, each time payment got declined. So I called my credit card company (Capital One) and they said they had to cancel my card since one of the retailers I used recently had their systems hacked into.
I did use the same card with 7dayshop about 3 months ago. They wouldn't tell me the name of the retailer, but my guess is it's 7dayshop.

Cheers to those who added rep.

Strange - I had no problems ordering, went straight through. Would be interesting to find out if they had been hacked into though. Did someone say its happened in the past?

Thanks for all the info on the rechargables too. I had the same problems with them training too quickly on digital camera but might reconsider now.
