This is a very good camera, it was posted a few weeks back for £139.99. Now it's £129.99. People really underestimate this camera. It was so good I bought two. Going to post some photoshots soon.

Review below.
----------------
Very impressed. The camera uses the latest Power O.I.S image stablization. This is reported as twice as effectice as Mega O.I.S. Takes HD video. Uses the latest Venus Engine V that Panny has to offer. Dimensions are very small, so it can very easily fit in your shirt pocket and the build quality is excellent. It does have a lot of manual controls. As a Fuji user though, I am more used to the buttons controlling the ISO/EV/SIZE via separate buttons, but I quickly got used the to menu arrangement of the FP8. Image quality is very good. It's not as good as my Fuji F70EXR, but unless you were inspecting it too closely, you wouldn't be able to tell. Response, from turning it on to shooting is extremely impressive. Never miss a shot with this. I would have preferred some kind of lens protection on this camera, but I guess you can't have everything.

In short this is a top of the range Panny in it's class with all it's latest technology but at a cut down price (140 pounds when I bought it). Only reason why I would see the price going down is because the TZ6/7 is going down in price too.

July 27, 2009 : Panasonic is pleased to announce the introduction of the DMC-FP8, heralding a new style of Lumix camera. Boasting a futuristic-design the new addition has a stylish flat body built of high-quality aluminium, providing an attractive design for the camera's rear surface – the part most frequently seen by the user. To further add to its appeal, the FP8 features a blue LED cursor button, adding elegance to the design each time they are pressed. The DMC-FP8 features a high-quality, 12.1-megapixel, 28mm, 4.6x Leica DC lens with folding optics*1, as well as being equipped with many of the features Lumix cameras are renowned for, such as iA and Power 0.I.S. The DMC FP8 is a stunning all round camera that features both style and quality.

CONCLUSIONS
When I reviewed the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX35 back in March 2008 I was impressed enough with that camera's overall performance to buy one for my sister. Subsequent Panasonic offerings that have crossed my path for review purposes didn't produce the same warm and fuzzy feelings as the FX35, but the FP8 has reversed that trend.

Price has gone up from £99. So you might want to wait before ordering from anyone. Because this looks like the best price you can get it for.

If you see this camera for below £100 , don't forget to let everyone know. Esp me. :D After a 3rd camera for someone else ;)

So I guess the best way to see this. As you can read from the reviews. It's a spiffing good camera and believe me when I say this. It may not have the best image quality (and it's got pretty excellent image quality). It's arguably the fastest campact camera I've used - from power on to shoot. I take this camera with me instead of my Fuji's. And that says alot.
