  GF2 has more manual settings and a hot shoe. I would argue gf2 is a more useful camera than the gf3. But that's because I want those facilities, maybe you don't and that's OK too.

  Just to re-enforce/clarify what was said the GF2 is not a better camera, it is however a more flexible camera due to the reasons stated, it's also bigger and heavier than the GF3. Though I'd say if a hotshoe etc. are things that you feel are important & you're set on MFT then the GF series isn't for you, you should be looking at the other Gs or Olypus PENs.
