IWannaBeAdoredIWannaBeAdored

Cracking deal for the lens.

£150 after Panasonic cashback. Makes this the cheapest ever for this. Also get a £10 Argos voucher thrown into the bargain.

Handy for those who bought the G3 from Argos or anyone with a Panny M4T's camera.

Looks like a great deal, reserved but a bit worried about the cash back. Can you clarify, 1. The deal says qualifying dealers, but Argos not showing up as a dealer, 2. On a link to Panasonic offers (uk digital I think) lens is listed with an "e" suffix, though argos is without the "e". 3. Cant find this lens in th Panasonic cashback deal on their site, unless I'm thick (entirely possible before you all leap in) Not trying to diss the deal, it's potentially a cracker, hence reserved, but don't want to be disappointed either. Comments welcome. Heat added, and thanks for posting.

Looks like a great deal, reserved but a bit worried about the cash back. Can you clarify, 1. The deal says qualifying dealers, but Argos not showing up as a dealer, - According to Panasonic Q: Who are the participating retailers?
A: For cashback or product promotions any UK retailer selling UK stock (not second hand) will qualify as a participating retailer. For warranty promotions, please check for retailers not participating in the promotion on the claim form.

    2. On a link to Panasonic offers (uk digital I think) lens is listed with an "e" suffix, though argos is without the "e". 3. First link shows extension from earlier in the year claim as 1st to 30th June...so now expired.
Second link shows current summer claim Purchase Period 01/07/2012 - 31/08/2012 Claim Deadline 30/09/2012
so should be okay...don't know why they just can't drop the prices as they've had 3 rounds of cash-back already this year

Thanks, dpc and twinkle, still a bit grey, and yep, just drop the prices, but that's marketing departmens for you. I did a search on the "e" version, but couldn't find anything definjtive to determine if there are 2 versions of this lens. Collecting today and fingers crossed for cashback. Thanks for the responses, and to IWannaBeAdored for posting.

Well I've been to argos, collected, and entered the claim, the paperwork has gone through and email ack received from Panasonic. Absolutely delighted, well done again IWannaBeAdored, and dpc1979/twinkle for clarification

I'm pretty sure that there is only one 45-200mm lens from the current range, so ignore the discrepancies on Argos's site.

    Spotted the price on CPB:

Great price, really good lens. Not the lowest price ever, but the best recently - voted hot:- Camerapricebuster

Previously paid £175 at Dixons, after cashback. Tried it on my GF3 and the results were great, but boyee did it make the camera feel so unbalanced.

This lens will also work with the Olympus Pen (e.g. E-PL1 £185 also from Argos).

Got one on reserve at my local Argos will collect tomorrow. Just out of interest can anyone confirm Argos are included in the cash back and also how 'unbalanced' does thus make the GF3?
