Weighing only 225g (without battery), the Panasonic HDC-SD60EB-K is a lightweight camcorder. Its compact size lets it sit in the palm of your hand for anytime, anywhere recording for high-quality images. Also features a 2.7'' LCD screen.

Use the 10% off code in the vouchers section for this price. It says it's expired on 18th May, but it's still active.

Just bought this at J Lewis for £339 (they pricematched another store for me) and it is a fantastic piece of kit - haven't seen a bad review anyway so a fantastic bargain at this price.
Word of warning though - DONT BUY IT ONLINE! if you reserve for pick up and get a demo before paying for it then you can get either 10% cashback or a free 32gb sd card from panasonic.
The form for the offer is available on their website but isn't advertised in high street stores - you must buy instore after a demo to qualify.

Hiya
are you talking John lewis or Comet that offers the SD card or 10%, cant find the form on the website

Its £338 on http://www.bargain-mad.co.uk - has anyone used this site before? I only ask because their prices seem to be very good and seem be based in the uk.
#5
Sorry - the offer is available from panasonic themselves after buying from a high street dealer following a demo.
The form is quite well hidden on their pages so here is the link:

Be careful with the offer from Panny... Comet have absolutely no knowledge of this as i rung them today. Im gonna ring Panny in the morning to get it confirmed about Comet and also see what class their 32GB card actually is. If its a class 6 then youre looking at mega bucks for the card alone as they are renouned as being the best on the market and VERY fast indeed. If its only a class 2 ill be happy with £30 cashback.

Anyway been looking at this camcorder for a while now and done a lot of research. For the money nothing in its class comes near. Was £340 odd from Amazon and nearly got it then... but this price seems a no brainer.

To redeem your 10% Cashback, Free 32GB SD Card or 3 year Warranty please
complete and return the form, including a COPY of your full purchase receipt (not
deposit receipt), by 30th September 2010 (unfortunately, receipt copies cannot be
returned so please retain your original). Claims received after 30th September 2010
will not be accepted.

Reading that it would seem an internet receipt would be fine? or collect from store. You could use the 10% code off the website also?

No you HAVE to have a demo INSTORE to qualify so cant see how you can purchase online. Also yes you can use the 10% code Comet have got at the moment, either one is fine.

OH and dont forget £9.15 cashback also ;-)

UPDATE: just rang Panny and YES Comet are an affiliated dealer so this offer does apply. Also the sdhc card is a 32GB Class 4, which Panny say is more than enough for 480hours 1920x1080. Looking at this card it about £90 new so i think its best to get the card rather than then £30 cashback offer (unless you want a higher class but they are well expensive).

So im gonna book my demo for tomorrow and take the plunge :-)

This is fantastic. Thanks very much for the update.

I have the manual in front of me and the 32gb card will hold the following. All settings on the SD60 are 1920 x 1080 - the different modes only relate to the bitrate and amount of compression applied.
HA - 4 hrs 10 mins (approx 17mbps)
HG - 5 hrs 30 mins (approx 13mbps) - this is the default setting
HX - 8 hrs 20 mins (approx 9mbps)
HE - 13hrs 40 mins (approx 5mbps)

Sorry Im a bit slow, but is there anyway you can use the 10% off code (on the comet webpage or through quidco(which offer 10%+ 3% cashback)) and still claim the free SD card direct from Panasonic?
#13
Yes it doesnt matter how much you pay for it instore. And yes you can also get cashback through TCB or Quidco ;-)

Both will not effect your claim with Panny.
#14
Gone up now by ten quid. But blagged it with Comet and they reduced it back down, told them i would of ordered it 2 days ago but they couldnt give me an answer as to whether they were affiliated dealers or not. No hastle from them and they done it in an instant.

So anyway got the camera... looked pretty damn good instore. Only thing is no mini HDMI in the box and will have to wait for a couple of weeks for the 32GB SDHC to come through!

Just looked at the website and it says that only Currys, John Lewis and local independents are offering the cashback or memory card. Where does it say Comet are also offering this? I know you rung up, but the person giving you the answer may have got it wrong - just wondered what made you check with Panasonic that Comet was part of the scheme.

Also, do you have to have a demo? Can you just purchase and send a copy of the receipt? The application form only asks for a copy of the receipt how do you prove you had a demo?

My TZ7 manual recommends Class 6 for its HD video recording so wonder if the Class 4 that Panasonic is giving will be up to scratch. Any ideas what the manual says?

Just noticed that the link to find the nearest dealer goes to a similar promotion last year. I can't see a list of particpating retailers for this year's promotion.
