Why cold, is there a cheaper deal?

The Canon HR10 was just £250 a few days ago and that gets a much better review at www.camcorderinfo.com so by compassion this seems cold; the Canon deal seams to have ended though. Review:

“If you absolutely can’t stand the idea of linear media but still want to shoot HD, any AVCHD camcorder on the market is a better bet than the DX1.”

Apart from the spec being lower on the HR10, reviews I have seen for this model are excellent - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-HDC-DX1-High-Definition-Camcorder/dp/B000QIEFY8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1219231348&sr=8-1 and here - http://www.thenerds.net/PANASONIC.Panasonic_Palmcorder_HDC_DX1_High_Definition_Digital_Camcorder.HDCDX1.html

A single 5 star user review on Amazon is irrelevant as far as I’m concerned. I’d much rather read a really detailed review such as the camcorderinfo one which looks at all aspects of a camcorder in detail; they didn’t rate it much. If it was £250 like the Canon one then I could live with it but at almost £400 I’d pass.
