This is a very good price - So HOT from me.

Voucher is with Costco - its there normal money saving vouchers they send through the post from time to time.

It also comes with a 2 year Warranty

Hmmm. I know I'd regret cancelling my membership!

So how much recording would you think you'd get from an 8GB SD card with it at highest res?

go 16GB class 6

Also i think the battery would die before you use up the recording time

can we get the £329 price if we are not costco members ?
or is bitesize deals part of costco ?
thanks

Morning Darren. The Bite Size Deal for £329 is completely independent to the Costco deal. I was considering that Bite Size Deal for £329 as an alternative to this Costco, as I am not a member either. But having read the reviews for Bite Size Deals, you'll have to be cautious buying from them.

They come across as a UK company, but in fact they are based in USA. Items will be shipped by FedEx and you can be liable for the VAT / import duty etc.

I'll be taking a friend today who is a Costco member, and purchasing this from Costco, as they offer 2year warranty.

Couple of questions..

When does the offer end?
Do you need a physical voucher?
#11
You would have got a book of vouchers through the post or they are handing them out at the entrance. To be honest the staff just scan a voucher they have at the till so you don't really need the voucher.

I have been researching this camera as want to go and get one.

Battery lasts pretty much bang on 2hrs.
16gb SDHC will last for around 2hrs filming at highest quality.

Gets thumbs up for size and for optical image stabilisation but thumbs down for colour saturation if you switch on the Dynamic Movie Mode but don't play back through a Panasonic TV. However I think you would need to be more of an enthusiast to appreciate that.

On AVForums people were paying £6-700 last March so for £298 this will be a great little camera and easy to get files off it and on to DVD. I'm going to go get one in the morning.

Remember if you have a trade membership and get in before 11.30 you get free coffee and muffins :)

Anyone know when the offer is valid until?
#13
It is valid to the 1st Feb.

If anyone doesn't have a Costco membership or store near by I am happy to buy and post out.

Would be £315 to cover Special Delivery and a fiver for my time and payment would be by bank transfer or bank deposit only. Can give you my 2600+ eBay feedback if needed.

Even better this is the SD9DEB model so is all black, which is nicer, and it comes with a 4GB SDHC card. Superb!
#15
Thanks OP

Went to have a play with it and it tiny and pretty well built. No sign of the £40 off on display so you have to give them voucher or at least informed them that you want the discount otherwise they will just scan as they don't know all the offers.

Will be dead impressed if it comes with a 4gb card too and they all black finish makes it look pretty classey. It includes 2 year warranty and 14 day techie support !! but also 90 days to return it if you chnage your mind. SO i bought one anyway and will decided whether i really need it over the next few weeks, but for £300 its definately a bargain

Mate got one for me and claims back the VAT so £260!!!!

Didn't realise it came with a card too!

What are the best cards for these, seem to remember someone quoting a Class 6?

Also, anyone know where to get a well priced Spare battery?

If you haven't got a voucher you can ask for one in Costco store:thumbsup:

Anything Class 4 or up will do. Play do an own brand Class 4 16gb for £15.99 and 7Dayshop to a Class 6 for £16.99. I went for the 7day one.

Great to get the VAT saving but remember that if your mate gets a VAT inspection he has to prove he still has the camcorder or how it was disposed. And also needs to justify why he needed to buy it for the business. Top saving though!
