Panasonic HJE70E-S in-ear Headphones @ £17.20

I was looking around for new earphones to replace my Creative EP630. I saw the Panasonic HJE70 for £17.20 on Amazon when other places on the net are asking for around £50 minimum. The audio enthusiasts on here (if any!) will probably know this is a bargain, but for those that do not know too much, I will post what I found out from research/experience...

In terms of sound quality they are better than the EP630 (BTW the EP630 are supposed to be identical to the Sennheiser CX300) and also the Sony EX71 (which I have had the pleasure of owning as well - till they broke).

I have read about people comparing them to the new Sony EX90 (£56 on amazon), which are better than the Panasonics but many people on audio forums find them very comparable or only slightly better.

I don't post too many bargains here, but when I do, I believe them to be true bargains... enjoy

In case anyone is wondering, I am the same guy that posted this deal on thedvdforums.com. Just thought I would share the deal with hotukdeals too. No 'deal' stealing going on here :p

Very comfortable, been wearing them for the last couple of hours since I got off work and found that they had arrived at home! Review here if you're interested:http://www.hardwarezone.com/news/view.php?cid=2&id=4169

Thanks for this, been looking for a pair of cheapish earphones that can be used everyday. I just placed an order and there were 2 left, now showing 1 in stock!

Amazon says there are 'more on the way'

Heat and rep left.

TBH, it said 4-6 weeks when I put the order through as well on Monday afternoon. Then it suddenly became in stock sometime on Wednesday/Thursday I think. So if you are prepared to hang in there it should be ok, but it still may be sooner than you think...

Nice1 mate  .

Just wondering how did you find out there are more on the way. I'm thinking of buying another pair for my brother as well :giggle:

Before the stock level switched to 4-6 weeks it said something like:

"1 left in stock (more on the way)"

Dunno what all of Amazon stock statuses are so it may have just shown the default message - more on the way - until someone at hq manually specifies that no more will be in or the item is discontinued.

Enemy_of_the_State - interesting that you should say your Sony EX71's broke. So did mine. All 3 pairs. Always the same defect - the right earbud dies. Neither John Lewis nor Sony will take responsibility. So thanks for posting this deal, I have ordered some and am looking forward to seeing if they last longer than Sonys (which is 12 months).

RowanDDR, if it's still in warranty Sony should be able to replace it for you. I originally bought the EX70s from amazon back in 2002, then the right ear piece went dead after 8 months. I sent them off to Sony and they sent me a brandnew pair of EX71's and believe it or not, these lasted me for 4 years!

Although, I think the quality of the parts is perhaps not as good now because it seems to be a common problem with the EX71's these days.
