They won't - there are sad, weird, mysterious people on here that live for the cold vote...

I've never used a multi-handset setup before so can anyone clarify whether all handsets need to be connected to a phone socket, or does only the master unit need connecting (with the other handsets using magic to carry a signal).

You know, I never even spotted Miss Atkinson up there! Shame on me. I'm now off to punish myself. ;-)

The BASE station needs to be permanentely connected to
a) phone line
b) mains electricity

ALL the HANDSETS being battery powered can be anywhere you want them BUT of course the batteries run down, so it's normal to keep them in a CHARGER.

The base station is a charger, and they provide a CHARGER base (ie needs to be connected to mains electricity, but NOT a phone line) for each of the handsets so that you can either KEEP the handsets in their charger base (to maximise likelihood they are charged up ready to use) or else just put a handset in a charger base when it beeps/flashes low battery.

With multi handsets you can also use them as a wireless intercom, called from say Handset #1 to Handset #3 for in-house/garden nattering.

I would think the reason its getting voted cold is because of your attitude on other threads ?
