Just ordered these 5 minutes before I saw this post! Looks like a good set, and you can even use a headset with it if you want a proper hands-free experience:

Sorry, my apologies, you're correct - thought it was older because I got mine (similar) about 6 months ago, and this one was different.

That makes this a great deal then!

I bought the twin set with answerphone several weeks ago from Dixon's.

Very pleased with them
#6
Anyone know if there is the same model, but without the answerphone?

Thanks
#7
Ordered thx. Good deal.
#8
I have these. They are very good. Only thing negative is the naff ring tones.

Hi

I am looking for a similar model but without the answering machine but not sure if they do it. I would appreciate it if someone could help.

Does anyone know that if I purchase two of these packs (so have 6 in total) will they all work together or do I specifically need to buy the 6 in the pack one.

Panasonic site confirms you can run 6 handsets from one base station - Link - so you would be able to link them all together from one base station (you would be using one of the answer machine bases as a charging base only).

Moob Thanks for the link. I think I will order the colour ones with answerphone even though they are more expensive.

Yes you can run 6 phones from 1 base unit the feaure setting is on the menu... Also does anyone know how to disable the beeping when you record a conversation? i Know by law the beeping is on there to indicate the person on the phone that you might be recording them but I got some stealth phonecalls to make to virginmedia so I need to be discreet about the conversation where having, its about my bill... does anyone know if the beeper is bulit into the phones board where I can rip it out, just like you can to the warning speaker on the pc motherboard, or is the beeper bulit in on the board in conjuction with software so you cant tackle that problem??

Had these for about a year now, paid a little more, again from amazon.

They're nice looking, and having three is useful, but the hands free is absolutely terrible. More often than not, the unfortunate caller on the other end gets to hear about three consecutive words out of every ten.

Even though this is the only problem I have experienced with them, its' significance is enough to recommend looking elsewhere if you do ever use hands-free. If you don't, they're nice looking sleek phones with the added brand-name factor, at a good price.

Used the hands free the other day whilst altering my insurance policy with no problems.

@babyface_snoop

Used the call record when talking to my daughter to try it out, i heard no beeps, she never asked about beeps, there were no beeps on the playback.

Maybe it's just a fault with my particular set then. If so, then they're great phones, at a good price. I'd appreciate feedback from others who've bought them regarding this issue. If nobody else reports the same problem, then the first thing I'll do is change the wireless channel on my router. In fact, I'm going to do that anyway now !

* - Edit - Just done so. I'll try it out and get back .....

@ Ikaur5

I was on the dreaded music on hold, switched to speakerphone and put it on the table, when it got answered the conversation was carried out without lifting the handset, no repeating any answers and call went as normal.

Having said that I might be insured for something different lol
#19
Yeah, Just tested after changing my router channel, and for the first time ever, seems to be OK now ;-) - Although the cynic in me needs a little more convincing !

 nice 1

Good phones overall, ring tones I've heard better but not a deal breaker by any means.
#21
Based on the recommendations on this thread I have just purchased 2 sets of these which in theory gives me the 6 x handsets I require. Thanks to all!

Are you with virgin media? because my friend has the phone also that beeps when you record a conversation maybe your provider aint got a protection on the line, I feel its due to that, the model number of my phone is KX-TG8421EB DECT Phone - Is yours the same?

p.s.

It beeps every 10 seconds

Got this set and have found them to be great except, as others have said, for the choice of ringtones. Found myself running throught the alternative ringtones only to revert to the original as the other choices are even worse.

+1 (In fact, mine's the quad set which I got for £70 from Tesco a while ago!)

Great deal, these change in price all the time, I bought the twin pack from Amazon in december, that was cheap, this is great.

Sorry, if it sounds a bit daft question...but are these handsets region locked...meant to say, if i carry them across to india, do you guys think it would work without hitch. (I do know the difference in the socket pin between india and UK).

Please would appreciate if someone can confirm it.

Well the phone has Multiple Language Display 14 languages On it and these kind of phones dont have region protection on them... I dont see why it wont work if you got the adaptor connection sockets right. . . .

yeah.. just ordered this set as my ident phones are C**P
#32
Good phones.. but, they are very quiet, by which I mean when you are speaking to someone their voice sounds so quiet. This has happened on multiple callers so its not "the other person".. I cant seem to see an instruction book reference to increasing the volume... any ideas anyone?
