Thanks for that.
I did put a url into the image section but it came back saying invalid.

I haven't really posted many deals at all.

Superb.
Panasonic DECT is streets ahead of others, and am amazed to read the one review on the Amazon page who thinks Philips are better! Can't even begin to imagine how he has worked that out, as the Philips ones I have used are among the WORST!

Not long since I bought my Panasonics (8 series too, but not as good looking as these), but this would be what I would be buying if that was not the case!
Fewer of their models have headset sockets now too, so an added point for those who want that.
#4
I have used philips too & the sound quality is awful.
I've bought these for the house as our son aged 2 has just killed our last panasonic which we got in 2002.

very smart looking phone http://photo-shack.com/img/3dc4876f3f08201c7c76cb71fa1da439.gif

I have the twin of these and they are amazing.

Would highly recommend and this is a bargain for the trio as I paid just a bit more for mine.

They look sexy as well.
#7
Do you know if the other two need phone sockets to use or just a power supply?

Hey do you know if this has a volume controller for the ringing as ones I have had in the past on LOW is still loud.
#10
Dont know if it's the same for this model - but I had to return a Panasonic dual Dect set back to Argos when I saw that the colour screen backlight stayed on ALL the time - quite a stupid design flaw!
#11
I have these phones. They are a vast improvement to the binatone DECT phones i had before. Highly recommended!!!

I got the 4 Pack from Comet for £74.99 about a month ago, i should have posted the deal... but alas i forgot!!!

You do know that you CAN turn the light off....... there isnt a flaw in this set, you need to edit the settings when they are on the charging pods.... (for this model)

I have 2 of these and the sound quality as well as range is really good.. http://photo-shack.com/img/6faa8040da20ef399b63a72d0e4ab575.gif

got these phones , not the best phone ive ever had to be honest. But then i do usually buy phones in the £100+ so u can hardly compare them to binatone phones

They feel cheap like they would break easy , also i cant find an easy option to switch the phone off quickly without it ringing unless u mess around with night mode

Still price is good for the 3 i paid around this just for 2.

I do usually buy Panasonic as i can never fault them for the intended use as the sound and quailty of the call is very good , i just wish the phone was more solid and rebust and more options

I need 4 handsets because our house is quite spread out - are the ones you've got any good? We've got BT phones and they're carp.
*scuttles off to the Comet website for a shifty*

Does anyone have these and caller ID? If you do, and you answer a call on handset number 1, does number 2 & 3 show it as a missed call? Thats the problem I have with the phone I've got at the minute, totally stupid!
#17
Supports callerid and doesn't show missed calls on other handsets
[edit] forgot to add that the caller ID and phonebook name is also displayed even if you have a call override number saved infront of your numbers eg

Voted hot, am looking to replace my old BT cordless phones. Thanks.
#19
Can anyone comment on the speaker phone facility? One thing that irks me with my current phone is when I need to dock the handset to charge, the call hangs up :-(
#20
Have they sorted out a way to connect to a PC to upload the phone book and then sync the phone book on all handsets?

I have some Panasonic phones which are 2-3 years old and they are very good, but the lack of a decent ability to sync the phone books is really annoying

As far as I'm aware, there isn't a way of connecting the handsets or the base station to a PC or use a sim card. Entries have to be manually entered but these can be copied to other handsets in their entirety or one at a time.

The handsets also support groups, one place this could be handy is if you you the night mode to limit calls to those from your "Family" group, all other calls go to answer machine. Unfortunately, the group you allocate to a contact isn't transferred between handsets when copying contacts and would have to be allocated manually on each handset.

Gone for these to replace the horrible BT Mango phones we got... thanks for link.

Next price I found was £90 from Comet.

I have a Pany cordless phone now (3 years old) very soiledly built, unlike this new one (had a look at them in Currys today) they are, as already stated, have a cheap feel about them, no were near the quality of the one I have now.
I'm goint to order them stll as, I need 3 h/sets, and Pany allways get the thumbs up in Whitch?
#24
i bought these phones a couple of months ago, but have to say not too impressed. Call List is poor, missed calls are not clealy displayed, calls in the list cannot be identified if they were incoming or outgoing. Background wallpapers are limited to 3 or 4 and there is no easy way of tranferring numbers. lets just hope the build quality is good like my previous panasonic phone.
#25
Had my eye on these phones for a while now and at this price look pretty tempting, however my main reason for buying them would be for their ability to record conversations and have read dozens of reviews but have yet to read a review that ellaborates on this facility. Can anybody confirm how good this facilty is on these particular phones?

From what I've read, Panasonic appear to have slipped from grace a few years back now.

I generally use Uniden cordless phones these days - a brand which was once very cheap and nasty - but greatly improved nowadays.

Never having heard of them, did a search, and without digging for ages, couldn't find any!
Some US sepcification ones (not legal) and some waterproof ones (no idea if they actually ARE UK legal!), in bright yellow, not exactly the thing for my living room, 35 quid delivered for one simple handset.

Uniden is a very well known brand - I had heard of them long before I lived in the USA to be fair too.

Have no concern whether or not they are considered "legal" or not living out in the sticks :whistling:

This is the phone I use for VOIP calls with my linksys PAP2:

This one for normal use:

We have this one in Florida:

No complaints whatsoever :)

So, we should all run out and buy phones, which are illegal here and we actually can't buy them here anyway.

Great advice that :-(

Well if you can't run out and buy them then you have nothing to worry about :whistling:

I didn't actually know that they didn't sell Uniden phones in the UK to be honest when I mentioned them originally.

My main point was that Panasonic as a brand has gone downhill over time - it may well be a cracking deal in the UK though.

Using personal family radios may be illegal as well as those mp3 car stereo transmitters - not to mention driving over 70mph on the motorway but that's not saying that you need to think the world will end if you do any of the above. :-D

Some are legal
Some mp3 tranmsitters are legal too now, they only need to have a certain low power.

Using illegal DECT is not a good idea as there is enough interference with 2.4Ghz kit to start with, besides, looking at those prices, legal DECT phones are FAR cheaper than in the US anyway!

I'm not sure what the MSRP's are but would assume woefully higher than what you would actually pay in the shops.

Our Unidens were very cheap - the Florida one was $19.99 and the answer machine version only $40 or so. I think the VOIP use one was around $20 as well from memory.

The VOIP phone is the only one using 2.4Ghz and sits right next to our wireless router and doesn't cause any issues.

The other 2 are on the 5.8Ghz frequency and not of concern as far as I can tell - as it is, our house has metre thicks walls (stone) so can't see any possible problems resulting from that surely?

Well I got mine today & i am happy with them. The phone bodies are exactly the same shape as my old Panny handset so these are bound to be good enough quality. I think the shiny plastic & chrome makes them feel bad quality to some people.

I am charging them up at the mo 7 will have a look at the menus etc later.
