Well, at least you have a good small and alost silent camera. Have you heard the loud shutter noise of the Panny? It's a mirror-less camera, but is louder than a Canon SLR with mirror. Try to take shots in a quite environment with the Panny, LOL. Awful. I would go for the Olympus PEN, which has the same sensor and uses the same lenses.

I got the G1 and I wouldn't say the shutter was that loud - I like the feel of the clunk when I take a photo.
That's the reason i went for an SLR rather then point-and-shoot.

This is really cheap now with the cashback - I paid 489 for mine less then 6 months ago! (loser I know)

Why didn't panasonic include video capability on this ?

Is it that hard to come up with a reasonably compact camera that includes the image sensor of an SLR with built in 10ish x zoom that can take good low light photos and include 720p video capability ?

Imo, the manufactures just want to keep the market/technology segmented in order to keep prices where they are.
