Arguably better than the new GF2. A great prime lens.

Great camera as it may be, I wouldn't pay THAT much.
Thats said, it must be remembered that this price is the cheapest I'VE seen too.
Personally think Panasonic have got carried away and overpriced it ridiculously.

Given the lens is worth £250 that makes the GF1 body £150 so not a bad deal.

Maybe others feel the Sony NEX make better sense at this price?

Personally I got this cam for around £429 6 months ago after quidco cashback etc. It's a wonderful little camera and does the job my slr does but in a much more compact unit. Beautiful photos and enough complicated stuff to keep me going.

Heat from me.

I had this camera for almost 9 months now. When I got the camera, I paid even more than DrJayDee86 :(
It is a great camera.
The 20mm lens is excellent, good all round everyday use, never need to switch out for another (apart from long distance photo / video shooting)
The lens are well sought. so if you dont like the lens, just sell it on ebay etc.

nice camera
I would argue the GF2 is a better sorted product, except for the touch screen which is a love or hate it thing.
But at this price its cheaper then it ever was, and its a quality camera. Personally I think if you are buying new now at this price you should be getting the NEX range, but thats IMHO.
At £299 this would be much more tempting given the panasonic excellent lens range

well guys, I bought it from Camera World and it arrived yesterday

But the box had been opened and all of the gear inside wasn't wrapped up as you would expect, popped the battery in and found it was fully charged.

Phoned the shop and suggested that it was secondhand, the guy I spoke to said 'oh no it's not' someone 'may' of wanted to look at it, I said I wasn't happy that it wasn't listed on the website as opened and he didn't seam too bothered by that!!!!

It's getting picked up today and I'm getting a full refund and I'll be keeping an eye out for another one from elsewhere.

Thanks for the heads-up. Was tempted at this price but if the retailer is dodgy then I'll give it a miss.
