I have a lumix . They have no view finder and so are useless in bright sunlight for composing photos. Igonre what they say you can not see the screen in bright light. It takes good pics but I am so fed up of this i am going to get rid of the camera

That's my only complaint about all of these new cameras, the lack of a viewfinder, in bright conditions you need one, I am old school too and prefer to use one anyway.

I will vote hot as soon as I work out how - just ordered one!

This is the first stills camera that can truely work well as a video camera also..from what I have read of the reviews it is a TZ3 with several of that cameras few drawbacks, updated and improved. Eg video zoom of 10x and better CCD to help the good lens.

one question how do I fidn out about the forums view of the supplier? In this case - 7day shop? I mean are they reputable? the site seemed slightly ugly but worked easily enough. They seemed to have been going a while which is usually at least one good sign.

I had the email with the TZ5 camera offer this morning and have ordered it. :)

Has anyone seen this cheaper? Im looking to get a camera before going to the US in June, i've narrowed it down to either the Fuji F100fd which can be bought for £165 now, Canon 860IS £165-170ish and Panny TZ5 £170 off ebay.

Since i need a easy and good point and shoot for the states wont be doing much indoor shooting the TZ5 seems the best option i was thinking of going with the F100 first but there been some problems reported with it. Plus the x10 zoom will be handy in the american outdoors.

I'm trying to see the cheapest i can pick this up for. Its £170 off ebay new does anyone know of a online store that might do quidco so i can get it slightly cheaper.
