An exceptionally good price for a very well respected camera.

9.1 million effective pixel (10.7 million pixels total) 1/2.33" CCD
10x (28-280mm equiv.) Leica DC Vario-Elmarit optical zoom
MEGA OIS image stabilization
4:3, 3:2 and 16:9 aspect ratios
High Res 3.0-inch LCD (460,000 pixel)
Movies up to 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) @ 30FPS

I have seen some of the HD video this camera has produced and they are pretty amazing... As you would expect it also takes superb quality photo's too... and it has an amazing 10x optical zoom to boot!

The price at eBuyer has been steadily coming down over the last couple of weeks - and today appears to have shaved another £5 or so off the price and being cited as "Deal of the Day". This appears to be the best deal out there on this model at the moment and is in-stock for immediate delivery... so I finally caved in...

Edit: It was the TZ3: I'm pretty sure they were selling off the last dozen in stock

Nah... that was the far inferior TZ3 - this is the TZ5. Trust me, this is a superb price for this model.

the pixel count is higher on the TZ5s LCD screen (460K vs 230K), it also has auto-brightening

CCD: 9.1MP vs 7.1MP effective

Cheers for the info
I own the TZ3 and was wondering if it's worth upgrading if their was much difference but cannot complain with the quality of the TZ3 and does what it says on the tin

I got this camera last week for £200 off amazon. The other main feature it has over the TZ3 is that it can zoom while recording video, and said video is recorded at HD 720p quality.

Good quality video, must be said I have only used the video function on my TZ3 in vageas last year on the gun range and taking footage of the bellagio fountains. Only way I found of zooming was zooming before you start recording but then your stuck with whatever zoom until you press stop or pause

great camera. It's a little bulky but that's because it has a wide angle zoom lens. I agree that the price of this is coming down. think I'll wait a few weeks to see what other sites do price wise. great deal though.
