I would strongly recommend going for a Sony RX100 mk I over this for roughly the same price, in exchange for a shorter zoom range and lack of viewfinder you're getting substantially better photo and video quality, especially in low light.

Are we not allowed to make alternative recommendations? As good as this camera is as a point & shoot, it's still a basic point & shoot with regards to image quality, something a lot of people will expect more from if they're choosing to buy a £250 camera rather than a £100 one. If you want a good quality and compact superzoom with a viewfinder then great, the TZ70 is for you. If you're looking for a camera with a noticeable improvement in IQ over a modern smartphone and don't need a huge zoom, the RX100 is undeniably a better purchase.
