Despite its remarkably compact body and slim profile, the stylish DMC-FX33 boasts a 28mm wide-angle Leica DC lens that lets you fit more people in a photo when space is tight or capture beautiful portraits of people with sweeping scenery or large structures in the background.

With the newly incorporated Intelligent LCD, the camera detects the light condition and automatically boosts the LCD backlighting by 40% when shooting outdoors in bright sunshine, and boosts signals with pixel-mixed readout method when shooting under low-lit situation to secure a clear image in any circumstances.

The best price I could find around and ordered. Its a good point and click camera, Canon is slightly better but the controls aren't as well layed out imo.
I think the Inteligent Auto mode makes it better than the Canon IMO as thats what most people would use.
how does this compare to the TZ3 model - anyone know?

Was just gonna say I would think the TZ3 is the better camera and should be down around this price now its been out a while.
Depends on what you want surely, the TZ3 is alot bigger, if you want something to put in your pocket then a smaller camera is better,
Got this delivered on Monday great little camera.
Posted the deal in another thread when I ordered it but it went out of stock soon after:
I was tempted to get the Canon Ixus 860 IS but the price difference was too much for the slightly better images.
