I have the TZ65 great little cameras with lovely wide angle lens.
#4
Hot. Paid £238 for one in early Oct. Received a mailer from Amazon yesterday, same camera £229.97 and no mention of the cash back. Not impressed with Panasonic though as I fell between two offer periods.oO
#5
amazing price and I thought I had a great deal at £182
#6
how come this is good then 40 pound fuji 12 MP cam? apart from the 12x zoom?
#7
I had this camera and took it back - the GPS is useless on it and I've read using it reduces the number of shot to around 90 per charge.

It was very good at filming video indoors and the zoom was nice but I wasn't really impressed with the photos from it. Also check the cash back aint expired.

I have this camera, it's simply the best camera i've ever had owned.

Unlike deeinlondon, I find the GPS fantastic, and if you're willing to wait 30 seconds or so after you turn it on to get a GPS lock, then battery life isn't affected that much (otherwise, you can put it in a mode where GPS is always on, which does eat battery!)

I find it easier to leave it in that mode, and then just take pictures right away anyway. iPhoto easily shows me which don't have location data, and then you can easily add it based on the photos taken at the same time, once GPS does have a signal :)

Woo hoo! I have been looking for a good deal on a TZ10 since my TZ7 was nicked a short while ago. This is a brilliant offer! Thanks!

Cashback runs until mid Jan 2011 ish so anyone who wants to wait till after xmas can.

Incredible price

Bit of Quidco will reduce this further. Panasonic make great cameras!

Panasonic made you buy it after it had been on offer the first time did they? The fiends.

When you've learned to string together a coherent sentence you may come to appreciate the difference between the two.

Me can bang puter keys board like next man then why job no me at investment bank?

Voted hot. This is a great camera and the AVCHD lite makes a big difference to reducing the file size of HD video clips.

Good camera but its refurbished. Always a bit iffy about those, would you get the cashback on this as they need the barcode from the box etc...
#20
The GPS function is putting me off as well. What is the point of it anyway, just to tell you where the photo was taken? If you can't tell by the actual photo then you need your eyes testing anyway oO

Other than the GPS whats this got that the TZ7 hasn't, as apparently the TZ7 is the business and i'm after a new camera that also takes good video?
#21
What an amazing price!
#22
I got this camera off e-bay a while back- a refurbished model from Jacobs for about this price- and it's a fantastic camera- haven'y used half the features yet

Where does it state 'refurbished'?

It doesn't say anywhere that this is refurbished...

For anyone who doesn't like the GPS, you can just disable it!

if you can get the tz7 for this price,i'll have some of that, tz7 prices are on the way up now it seems.
you can turn off the gps, and the tz10 is a tiny bit lighter
#26
Any reason to go for a TZ7 over this? considering you can disable the GPS if not required.

Hot, bought this at the £182 deal. Hopefully Amazon match the price within 30 days so we can claim the difference.
#28
Great spot.

I've a Play credit card so loads of Play vouchers which have proved difficult to use because site is generally so expensive now.

Order accepted but stock awaited.

Can't see where it says 'refurbished', tho' stonkingly-good price would make one surspicious.......
......but, I bought one anyway! Have the TZ65 & I'm very pleased with it. Always hankered after the HD thing tho'...........and sure, another wee camera never goes amiss.......

If you search for tz10 on play you will see their price is higher.

new and used from 199 - click on this and it is highlighted as refurbished.

Shame, I was going to order.

Do you mean, if Amazon drop the price of something you purchased within 30 days you can claim back the difference? Amazon don't do that anymore

you seem right. Shame. however it worth trying and apparently
I have just spoken to Amazon and have been advised that they will still consider a refund if the price on their website drops within seven days of the order being placed. (Rather than the 30 day period they used to offer.)

If it is a significant amount then it might be worth escalating a claimig the first person you speak to isn't being particularly helpful.

I was nearly sucked in too! Grrr!

As well as that, it's actually £10 cheaper directly from them http://www.hyperfi.co.uk/panasonic-lumix-tz10-digital-camera-121mp-optical-zoom-inch-black-p-980.html [black]

No chance of cashback on this then :(
#37
new and used is a separate part of the site. if you search tz10 you see play.com's own prices in my opinion. Otherwise why doesnt plays own prices match the 'from' new and used prices for the red/black.

I don't think it is refurbished

Actually, now I'm not so sure.

As someone has stated above, if you do a search on the model name, it still looks like the blue version is this price OK - and it mentions the £30 cashback in the item title.

So...... http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/6-/Search.html?searchstring=panasonic+lumix+tz10&searchtype=ELEC&searchsource=0

Maybe the blue colour is just not as popular?

Once you on the items page you have the tabs at the bottom for various options

Under the new tab the cheapest option is £224.79 from hughes direct

Under the refurbished tab the cheapest option is £199.99 from Hyperfi

I think this means its a refurb, no?

Manuel functions only work in Spain?
