this is an AMAZING camera and it's filming quality is just as amazing!

I have this camera, but it's a bit battered now... took to gigs and people throwing their water/beer/dread to think what else in cups about. Also I'm a dropper ;)

Still it's awesome! Though the zoom sticks now coz of the wetting it's gotten. It still works after LOTS of dropping!

I only ordered this from Amazon the other day and it was £192 then, ****! I guess they don't have one of those clauses that will refund the difference if the price decreases within x-days of purchase?

Try it - Amazon are really good at it. I bought a small LCD once and requested a price check twice it had dropped so much and they agreed. On other products I've done it a few times and they have always given me something.

I can honestly say I don't think there is a better retailer out there.

You answered my question before I asked it, the question being. I'm going on holiday in August and really want this camera, should I wait another 2/3 months or take the plunge now?

Superb Camera!

I have around 10 five minute HD video clips taken with my TZ10 (fantastic quality btw) Does anyone know of a program, that will allow me to convert and copy them to DVD?

Cheers

Check out the differences from the TZ10, decide if it's worth the premium of buying a brand new model. I've got the TZ10 and it's head and shoulders above any other compact camera I've owned. The differences seem evolutionary, not revolutionary. Touchscreens are a matter of taste.

Money is the big determining factor for me, as with everything at the mo, but I would like some change out of £180 if possible,

I've bought this and have to admit it is a good camera.

Does anyone who owns one know if you are better off filming in HD with AVCHD or MotionJPEG? I know JPEH takes up more memory but I have a 16gb card so im not bothered about that. Is there much difference filming in that or is AVCHD no difference?

Cheers Toaster, excellent link, I notice the film is taken with a more expensive camera though so will have to try mine out and see if the difference is as noticable. Thanks again for your reply!

I have this camera and realistically it cannot go much lower in price, £183 is an absolute bargain, once these stocks disappear as Panasonic are no longer producing this model then the price will increase and then stabilise until all available units are sold on Amazon. Then the smaller retailers who will still have stock will have these on sale at £200 plus with no/little competition from the bigger players such as Amazon, Currys et al.

It happened with the TZ7 and it will happen with the TZ10

Went for the dsc-hx5, having owned a tz10, I found the sony is far better in all areas, battery, low light and intelligent auto select settings.

I read quite a number of reviews before purchasing and all except 1 review favoured the TZ10, even though on each occasion it was very close and little between them.
