Hi
Thanks for posting. I have added an image to your post.
This is a link, made by rayman, which explains how to add images in great detail. It’s worth taking a look at if you are going to post more deals in future : - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/339941/how-to-post-and-host-images-for-thr/
Or follow the link in my signature.
Kind regards

Fair price for an outstanding camera, i bought it at release direct from panasonic for about this price.

Take some heat from me.
#4
Bought the TZ6 for £210 but good deal if you want the HD video feature. Have some heat.
#5
Superb camera and this is currently a good price (still on its way down though).

Heat.

The TZ6 / 7 are great cameras, always feature strongly in reviews. The TZ7 looks as if it might be replaced by a new model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZR1 so could see some price falls later this year. Did very well in a group test at DPReview where its known by its US name the ZS1 and ZS3

I dont think you can call it a replacement. The ZR1 is not able to capture HD video.

I agree, the ZR1 looks like a cut down TZ6.

I have just got a TZ7 from Amazon, pained more than this :-( , having had a TZ5 and a TZ3 before that. The TZ7 is an outstanding camera which is just a joy to use and gives very good results.

In good light it even approaches the quality of my Pentax K20D DSLR, it really is that good!

Hot of the press, great camera, ordered, this will go up in price very soon,as the pound is going down:)
#13
Awesome camera. I paid a lot more than this for it. Have some heat!

This is a 'warm' deal at best as this price is not far off what you can purchase the camera elsewhere.

On another subject, Andy, why do you insist on making your posts in bold? Any other punter on here would be shouted down for posting in bold every time they posted something in a thread.

Here's another one!

Why do you MODs think it's ok for you to post in bold?

He must be a bold person:roll:

As others have said - I have one of these and great camera. I have a DSLR and a full HD camcorder, but this Panasonic is the best all rounder for occassions where I dont want to carry the DSLR or another camera (ie hte camcorder)

£299 in curries yesterday. I suppose £47 difference is nothing to some people.
#19
I bought a TZ5 for £100 on Monday to go with my D700 and D50 as my 'carry everywhere' camera. The video is very nice for such a compact camera.

You don't HAVE TO buy it from Currys do you?

http://www.camerabox.co.uk/product.asp?ProductID=6046&gclid=CIunz4SDnpwCFdYB4wodumJvew is only £5.32 difference.

http://www.sundigital.co.uk/products/show/panasonic-tz7-black-digital-camera?gclid=CLn4k-SDnpwCFU0A4wodqEufdQ is also £5.32 difference.

As I said, the deal is 'warm' at best.

Hmm, the pound is roughly 10% stronger than when this camera was released. I can only see it coming down in price myself. I should imagine it will be closer to the £200 mark by christmas.

Couldn't agree more wayne.

12 x Optical Zoom is Very Handy and Great in a Camera of this Compact Size!
#27
what features does this have that the TZ5 doesnt? other than the 12x optical zoom compared to the TZ5s 10x

I paid £180 for the TZ5 seems alot of money £70 just for a little bit more zoom

Cracking cameras though videos are very good in daylight! 8 min video is roughly 2GB in HDTV
#28
would check out a few reviews before buying from camerabox

I hope so, Ive been doing some watching on this camera myself hoping to get it for less than £200 for christmas :santa: Please!.. Im quite set on the Lumix range and it seems like a good choice from reviews and the people vouching for them on here. Does the new ZX1 not support HD video?

I got a TZ5 for £180 last October. Great camera - as long as you override the minimum shutter speed to 1/125 or less. Went to a wedding and took 300 pictures on Intelligent Auto mode only to find that they were taken at 1/30s and most had camera shake.

The HD video recording is good - so long as you have rock steady hands or a tripod. Got the father inlaw a Panasonic SDR-S26 camcorder last month. Only SD resolution but 70x optical zoom plus optical image stabilization. Virtually no shake unless at max zoom! Saves to SDHC cards.
Point is that it is nice to have the convenience of recording on your photo camera but if you are serious about making videos you are better off getting something designed for the purpose.
The SDR-S26 can take photos but they are only 1MB and probably better taken with a mobile phone!

or your Pentax isn't that hot (and/or has a poor lens)? :whistling:

Personally, I'd wait for Fuji's new offering

http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/blogs/index.cfm?entryid=119879&blogid=18

Only 10x zoom, but its got their new EXR sensor (I have the F200) which is excellent.

The Pentax is a fine camea (read some reviews) and has a good lens on it thanks.

I did say that the TZ7 approaches the quality of the K20D in good light. Clearly any camera with such a small sensor and huge zoom range can never be as good as a DSLR but I would challenge anyone to tell the difference between the two at small print sizes.

Also it would be helpful if you expained on what basis you formed your opinion on, do you own either camera perhaps?

From memory the TZ7 have AVCHD Lite Video recording, I bigger zoom range, higher resolution sensor and higher resolution screen (which is noticably better that the TZ7) and is slighty smaller, TZ7 gains focus tracting and face recognition. There may be other differences however.

Only you can decide if its worth upgrading to, I know the TZ5 is a VERY good camera.

Either getting this, or the FZ38, not sure until more reviews turn up.

Had a play with it in the shop, seems very compact, though it's screen's a fingerprint magnet. :)

Does the new ZX1 not support HD video?

Can anyone answer me this please?

In terms of video, the DMC-ZX1 takes clips at 720p at 30fps, with a mini-HDMI video out enabling you to export straight to your HD TV.

Absolutely want I have been looking for, great find for the whole range.
