Buy the latest Panasonic Lumix TZ7 Compact Digital Camera from Cdiscount.co.uk. The TZ7 is stacked with impressive features indicative of Panasonic:

- Lumix Super Zoom Digital Camera
- 12x Optical Zoom 25mm Ultra Wide-Angle LEICA DC Lens
- HD Movie Recording in AVCHD Lite with Dolby Stereo Digital Creator
- Advanced iA (Intelligent Audio) Mode with Face Recognition and Movie iA Mode
- Large 3", 460.000 High-resolution Intellligent LCD with Wide-viewing Angle

The Panasonic Lumix TZ7 packs a LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with 12x optical zoom into a compact body. This versatile photographic tool lets you shoot everything from sweeping vistas at the 25mm wide-angle setting to dynamic 300mm telephoto shots. And the lens system's exquisite rendering ability lets you capture even the subtle nuances of the sights and scenes in your travels.

The Panasonic Lumix TZ7 records HD movies (1280 x 720-pixels) in AVCHD Lite, which lets you shoot beautiful HD video with almost twice the recording time compared to the conventional Motion JPEG and the optical zoom can also be used when shooting motion images. It is also the world's first compact camera to feature Dolby® Digital Stereo Creator, which records dynamic, true-to-life audio that brings out the power of the HD video. The wind cut function minimises distracting sound from the background during audio recording.

The iA (Intelligent Auto) Mode makes it easy for anyone to take beautiful recordings. The Photo iA Mode controls MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent ISO Control, Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Recognition, Intelligent Exposure and AF Tracking with the new Face Recognition function memorising faces automatically and working to optimise both focus and exposure settings by prioritising on the registered persons face. On the other hand, the Movie iA Mode controls MEGA O.I.S., Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection AF/AE, and Intelligent Exposure.

The TZ7's LCD features a large 3.0", 460,000-dot resolution, and a wide-viewing angle that lets you frame your shot in a variety of ways for both shooting and viewing. LUMIX's acclaimed Intelligent LCD function also automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions. This LCD provides sharp, clear images in virtually all shooting situations, ranging from nighttime to bright daylight scenes and from low-angle to high-angle shooting. It lets you share the fun of viewing images with family and friends.

The Venus Engine HD, with its twin CPUs, has exceptional processing capabilities and low power consumption, enabling both HDMI support and HD movie recording in AVCHD Lite. It features effective noise reduction even at high ISO sensitivity levels.

#3
I thought it was £204.99 inc P&P (not including Quidco)?
#4
Does anyone know what's happened to the option of paying in 3 installments???

I paid £255 for this camera (in black) 5 months ago. Like all tech, I thought the price would drop as soon as I bought it. Looking at the best prices occasionally over the last few months (why do I do that?), I was surprised to see it maintain a £250+ price. This is a great camera and a very good deal!
#6
Fantastic camera. I have the TZ6 as I have no need for HD vid capture and I paid this much for that.

Hi all of you TZ owners - would you please let me know how you get on with taking pictures in bright sunshine without an optical viewfinder? Thanks in advance.
#16
Brilliant! I've been after one of these 'at the right price' for a while now [for the missus]

Gonna order one for the wife, but she's sleeping at the moment and I don't want to wake her.....I need to know what colour! :p

I took my spanking new TZ7 to Egypt last month and - apart from the usual problem looking at LCD's with polarized sunglasses - it was fine using the LCD in (very!) bright conditions.

The camera handled the wide range of contrast very well too, I am most impressed with the resulting pictures.

Would have jumped at this a while ago, but think I'll hold out for the new Lumix ZX1 that's coming out. Red hot price for this though.

Price gone up to £274.99

The price has alway been £274.99

You have to use the code DIGI20 which reduces the price by 20% to £219.99, this is mentioned in the first post.

If this is your first order from this company you can also use an additional code which is NEW15, this will give you another £15 off and will bring the camera down to £204.99.

Hope that helps.

By the way, exellent deal OP, voted hot and ordered

This is a great camera, got one just a few weeks ago for going to New York and took some brilliant pictures. Really easy to use and the results are great.

Don't forget to add at least another £45 to £50 for a spare battery (300 pics with 1 fully charged battery). You will no longer be able to use third-party batteries with Panasonic cameras. This is why Panny is off my shopping list.

I've used the camera in very bright sunshine and had no problems viewing the screen. I assume it's because the screen is brighter than the other camera's I've had, which I'll admit did struggle in sunlight. Whether the high resolution helps a little as well I don't know, but the camera is still good to use in bright sunlight. Another satisfied TZ7 user.

Just for those who may not be aware....if you want to buy an additional replacement battery, Panasonic have produced a firmware version 1.2 since 15th June production that won't allow the use of a third party battery....and the genuine Panasonic ones are £35 upwards! :w00t:

However you can downgrade to 1.1 if you want, but be aware that if you are new to this sort of thing, there is a small risk that you could mess up the camera entirely!

Have a read here for various links http://icklefrog.co.uk/shop/page/5

As I understand it, the firmware revision is solely about disallowing third party battery use - nothing whatsoever to do with any improvements in the camera itself.......:whistling:

EDIT

I also used my Nationwide credit card so that I can register this purchase for a second years warranty [though not sure if it is 2 years as standard]

I got mine today (total price of 204.99). Initial email from them was that "It's out of stock and they will be happy to refund if I cancel my order." However I replied, that it's fine even if it takes them 2-3 weeks to deliver.

After which it took them 5 days to send to me.
