Reduced to £499 from £592 and includes a 6 year warranty.

This is Panasonic's top of the range washing machine. A lot of thought has gone into the hi-tech design of this machine and reading what others who have purchased it have said, it really is extremely quite in operation. It has a brushless motor. Check out Panasonic's brochure for all the details http://intelligent-living.panasonic.co.uk/downloads/intelligent-living-2010.pdf

Also, John Lewis charged me £25 for install and £9 to take away old machine. You can't select install option on the website but if you ring your local store to order then they will do it for you on the phone.

That's a lot. Currys charge £14.95 and take away the old one for free !

Panasonic extended warranties are "In store only". Also Ive got this machine cheaper from somewhere else, of course Ive had to pick it up by myself.
#10
Excellent price for a well specced machine. Dont agree with the comment above about sacrificing 5 years warranty for the sake of a £5 a year though.........

Well I disagree bought a washer three years ago £219.98 and to this day it removes all the muck and dirt I through at it. Why pay over the odds just seems pointless

Oh and if anyone says it's because of the warranty that's bull, all of you should have access to home insurance and therefore if you did need a replacement after any excess your still way cheaper than this RIP OFF deal

Save your cash people don't fall into the consumer keep net.

But if you claimed on your house insurance you would have to pay the initial excess AND the subsequent yearly rise in premiums as you're no longer claim-free :|

Sorry but this is not the normal warranty.

JL warranty is worth a lot. I had a TV that died after 4 yrs from JL, New TV replaced for £50...much better model.

This is not the same as your normal extended warranties with many others that is total c**p and a pile of hassle with warranty company..........all done via JL. Well worth it IMO

I may be wrong, but you would pay £25 less for 5 year less warranty??

Check out the pdf doc, says its for machines purchased until 30th Sept 2010

Decent as this is a Panasonic Warranty, though the LG Direct Drive machines are nice, even if they dont have the same warranty.
#18
Pity they don't do a large size washer drier as that's what I needed. Went with the 9kg LG. This is a top deal though for 6 years no worries.

Breakdown is not covered under a standard Household Insurance Policy,if it floods your kitchen the damage to the kitchen is covered, but not replacing or fixing the Machine itself

Yes I have heard bad things about Panasonic's washing machine - typically regarding reliability and performance. Which is a shame as I would have seriously considered getting one. From what i've heard they're far from up there with the likes of Bosch and Miele. Unless you have a tendency for daring to be different i'd stick to a more traditional and established brand.

Although i'm a fan of most things Panasonic I had a really crappy experience with one of their mobile phones and (tele visual kit, bread makers, digital cameras and cordless phones aside) i'm sort of the belief that not absolutely all and everything they do is top notch.

I'd also like to read the poor reviews please.

We bought this machine when the 6 year warranty was last on a few months ago.

It is incredibly quiet, washes well and spins far better than the Bosch it replaced ( according to HTMBO.)

£25 in install, lol

assuming empty space and water off then its only....

remove packing, then its place in water tubes in and out, turn on water, connect to eleccy, move into position/level and test

so i guess a 15 min job - max?

bosch and miele should not be mentioned in the same sentence....bosch are good cheap alternative but not a patch of miele's

There wasn't too many reviews last time that I looked but most of them seemed to highlight poor quality and inadequate service. I think Which didn't rate them too highly either. I'll see if I can find some.

Wer'e on our second Bosch and although we've had a couple of call outs they're pretty good. For about £500 you can get a top of the range model. The Miele model that i'd quite like is £900+ and it does sound great that they're built to last a good 20 years but then I have to ask myself would I still want to be using the same machine that I had 20 years ago. Not only would it look very dated it would be 1000 spin speed, take a 5kg load and would be generally very inefficient by today's standards.
