Just seen this deal which comes with a free 5 year guarantee making it the best deal around for this tv. Dearer than previous post (by £52) but comes with 5 yr gtee.As far as i know its online and offline. One of my early posts so go easy. For this price range tv it has to be surely a bargain unless you are spending huge amounts of cash. Great reviews all around for this tv and although its a step down from the p42v20 its about £300 cheaper.

That's not the same model.
The G series certainly has Freesat, which S doesn't - not sure what else!

Please check item before saying posted already that is an older model (p42s20)and would only have 1 year guarantee anyway.

Hot Deal, bought this Television in January this year for just over £700, however with a 5 year guarantee this is smoking!

I'm surprised this one isn't a little bit hotter. I think this is the one I'm going for, as you get the 5yr warranty

Me too the price of this tv seems to be jumping from £699 to £799 but i missed the real true bargain about 8 weeks ago when it was about £650 with a free blue ray player however that didn't have a 5 yr guarantee with it.

If it is increasing in price then there will one reason for this, it is to be reduced heavily a few weeks after the increase. The whole shopping market place is full of these scams, can't avoid buying inflated product in supermarkets....

I am waiting for JL £599 price, can currently get that price but you would need to buy a dmr ex773 or a sc-bt230eb.

This includes a 5 year guarantee, the Dixons & Amazon offer doesn't

The 5 year guarantee from JL is worth it's weight in gold. Why people continue to compare this to other stores without the warranty is beyond me. I can guarantee the equivalant warranty from Dixons will cost a whole lot more than the price difference and the warranty is not as good as the JL one.

This deal may have come to soon for me but it's hot none the less for an excellent TV. They also do the S20 for £599 which is not too shabby. Co-op do the S20 for £575 so if instore will match the online price you get the panny 5yr guarantee too.

Jumped as low as £553 (inc quidco of about £16) at Comet at the weekend.
Also out of stock online.

599 + 59.99 for 5 year warranty at richer sounds
JL will price match Richer Sounds. I got my Panny that way.

out of stock :(

I reserved one at Comet for £569.99 at the weekend (Quidco was £17.10 making it a possible £552.89 deal)... I didn`t get time to pick it up though... quite glad now, beacause I have the feeling this will be sub £500 by January Sale time.

How can this get voted hot? This TV has been at this price at JL for weeks. Ten days ago, they were selling it for £629. Last Friday I paid £570 at Comet and got £17 quidco as well making it £553. Even buying Panasonic's 5 year warranty for £90 it would still be cheaper than this. Richer Sounds are £560 with a 5 year warranty.

You missed JL selling it for £629 as well.

prices on this seem to be all over the place. Got mine sunday for £516 (one year warranty though)

I think £699 from JL is the best around. I watched this for months before getting mine, they are now out of stock.

The warranty from JL is brilliant, there is no one else like them for customer services.

Na this deal would only be hot if £630 or less with 5 years. Local panasonic shops willing to do these for £650 with 5 years from panasonic warrantee.

It was £550 ish on the weekend at comet with 1 year though
#25
I got one for £660 (with 5 yrs) from Richer Sounds yesterday and very much rating it so far!

vtec........was it the S20 at £550, not the G20 right?

P42G20 is £699 at comet with only 1 years warranty S20 is still £550 as of yesterday, neither are worth it at those prices / warranty. Richer sounds is best deal for G20 with 5 years st £660, electrocentre and others are £595-£600 for 1 year which is much better value than the S20.

Having missed (snubbed) the £629 G20 JL deal expecting it to still go lower (still feel like an idiot) I couldn't accept paying more when it went back up so went for JL price matched 50" G20 at £999 instead.

January 2011 should see JL or others with 5 year warranty (IF Panasonic extend offer beyond xmas that is) at £600 but could become discontinued / sold out before then, this models been out awhile now!
