3.1ch System - Creatng a clear voice and sound field - By expanding the sound field in the upper front area of the TV screen, 3.1 ch system with Clearmode Dialog gives the sound greater depth. It also makes voices sound like they're coming from the centre of the screen.
Bluetooth Wireless Technology - Lets You Enjoy Music Wirelessly in Your Room - Music data from a compatible device is sent to the main unit by wireless transmission. So you can enjoy the music from smartphone or tablet with your home theatre system in high quality sound.
One-Touch Connection (NFC) - Easy Pairing with Device - Bluetooth pairing is done by simply passing the smartphone over the main unit. No more worries about troublesome settings

Seems like a bargain - fancy one for the kitchen or kids play room but might be more hassle than it is worth given they are wall mounted TVs - thought it says this can be mounted too

Good review

If I hadn't bought a Panasonic soundbase recently, I would have been all over this.

i have this soundbar its brilliant and i replaced a pretty decent sony amp 5.1 setup with this as was fed up with the messy wires and speakers on stands and walls.

your tv remote will control the soundbar volume if you connect with hdmi

This looks very good if I didn't buy the Philips a couple months ago from Tesco I'd be all over this

After using this site to source a new 4K TV I bought a Philips ambilite TV after seeing it getting red hot!! via Argos. TV arrived and is amazing value but sound a bit weak so just ordered this sound bar set up to improve it and to play music off my phone. reviews seem very good and price is a bargain. Hope it'll be in prime condition. Thanks for spotting this deal as this is what this site is for.

AV forums recommended award, and that was when it was priced at £250.

Recently brought a refurbed Sony HT-CT80 for £90 off Amazon. Think that's going back and getting one of these, would people agree?

Great spot! Heat!

I've always been a soundbar skeptic but this seems good so gone for it. Hopefully I'll appreciate the sound more than my 20W TV speakers.

hdmi can do Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio which optical cant but as this soundbar doesnt do any of them its no difference in sound plugging in optical or hdmi this soundbar does Dolby Digital and dts which optical does do, i have this sounbar connect only with optical to an lg tv everything i plug in to tv comes out of this soundbar just with optical plugged in to it,, i went into tv setting turned off tv speaker and set optical as sound in sound settings.

Send it back! I bought the Sony as a refurb for £58 delivered from Sony Direct, we use it all the time, but wish I'd got a more powerful one like this now.

pretty sure it didnt come with either optical or hdmi cables. optical cables are very cheap dont bother getting an exspensive one as wont be any better than a cheap one https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Home-Audio-Video-Accessories/AmazonBasics-7GSW-Digital-Optical-Toslink-Cable-Feet/B00NH11H38/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1489526239&sr=1-4&keywords=optical+cable

thanks.. bought one for fear of them selling out! hoping this will work simply via an HDMI cable, and that one of you will pop over and sort it out at the weekend. cheers ;)

How do you then turn the volume up and down? With the tv remote or the soundbar remote?

i programmed our sky remote to do the volume as the remote for this isnt the best its one of them thin ones with a button cell battery if you have sky the codes are online.
