I used the above codes and also DVD10, which was meant to only work last week for one day, and got 15% off in total and free delivery. I got the 467 as I wanted wireless, but this would take it down even further!

This pic shows the iPod dock feature.

Wonder if this is actually better than the sony? Hot imo

I nearly bought this as I have a matching Panasonic 42" plasma TV. However, the fact it didn't play DivX persuaded me against it.

I've auditioned it and it is a really good system, provided it has the features you want/need. Good price and good find!

ive also got a currys / dixons gift card with £30 on it, can anyone confim if these are usable when ordering online please?
#9
"1000W peak power" = a stupid pointless specification = something you shouldn't expect to exude quality...
#10
Do all the speakers need pluggin in to power and connecting to TV? Not wireless speakers?
#11
Brilliant system, i payed £180 for this 6 months ago and highly recommend it at this price, the sound through optical is great.

From what I can gather all speakers will be wired to the sub:?
#13
Does work with the iPhone as I bought one 2 weeks ago! Doesn't display tracks though, u have to just change them with the remote
#14
What does it acctually mean "From Satellite speakers"?? does this mean the speakers are wireless
#15
Thanks - H & R Added
#16
Seems to be a good system but I agree about the comment about 1000watt's peak power being completely useless.
#17
Dad may want one of these. Can he link his Sky HD up with the optical cable to this also? Not clear from description
#18
also which is better, this or the Sony DAV-DZ260

I think they mean small speakers, i have the system the only fault is the wires are not very long for the surround speakers

if his TV has digital out on it then use that into the surround sound, anything plugged in then (ps3, xbox etc) will transfer sound over to the speakers.

No it only has HDMI Out (for the TV), as this is a audio system. You will need to plug an optical cable into the system to get sound out.

No this system does not have any wireless speakers. The SC-PT467EB model has rear wireless speakers but cost £252.91 delivered Click Here. Not worth it in my opinion as they are exactly the same apart from the rear wireless speakers.

this system works great with my ps3 using the digital optical cable.

got it for £100 when I bought my TV from comet. Great system for price

the rear speaker wires are short, but I just extended the cables and it works fine

The sound quality is quite nice from when I heard it in a Currys store. My friend picked one up from Currys the other week for about £166 which was an offer at the time. Luckily I held back and waited. I ordered one from Dixons on Xmas day at £135.99 along with the Panasonic TH42PZ80B 42"

Amazing sound system. Worth every penny. A friend of mine (who trained as a sound engineer) has had them for about 3 years and they still sound incredible.

Personally i would not buy any "all in one" systems since the sound quality from them is not great. You lack inputs and most of the time paying for a DVD player you will never infact use.

Look into getting an AV amp and seperate speakers, much better value for money, much better sound quality and much easier as far as upgrading goes in the future !

I would agree with this i have just bought a yamaha av amp and speakers it is amazing sound :santa:

This system is fine for your average joe who wants a reasonable sound quality. Most of the people who would buy this dont know squat about sound etc. For what you get, its not a bad price, i wouldnt buy it, but then i care about sound quality more than the average person.

As someone already pointed out, the "1000W" means sod all. The speakers they supply wont use all that power, in fact the 6 channels will probably be ~180W each and you'll be lucky if the supplied speakers use 15W each (tbh five 15w speakers is perfectly enough to flood most peoples living rooms with sound anyway). The wattage is only there to tell you the max it can output, not what it will when you set it up. If you want to use all 1000w then you'll have to invest in some proper speakers which will cost you a lost more than this i can assure you.

I agree with Boxrick as well, getting an AV amp is the way to do it if you care about sound quality and all the extra connections.
#37
how many things can you plug this into at anyone time?
Id like my TV and XBOX to be pluged in at once, is this possible?

Doesn't matter anymore 'coz it's 'out of stock'
