**All products are factory graded by qualified engineers. "Graded" in most instances are returns, which are refurbished where required or may have very minor cosmetic blemishes -

But still looks like a bargain.

As stated before, its graded and may have minor marks and blemishes. I am sure that you can get the same of ebay - it is in effect second hand. Cold for me

Beware! According to the manual (page 11)
http://dlc.panasonic-europe-service.com/EUDocs/GetDoc.aspx?did=155901&fmt=PDF&lang=en&src=3&uilang=en-GB&model=SCPT860

The SCPT860 DOESN'T support DTS from the optical input. Only Dolby Digital & PCM. It can handle DTS only from it's built in DVD player, but if you connect any external equipment like a Blu-Ray player or games console, it won't decode the DTS coming in from the optical!
Absolutely stupid on Panasonic's part :prop:

Had a quick search & it seems to be a common problem with a lot of Panasonic Home Cinemas, that they disable the DTS from the optical in. XxGunnerxX, you might be better off looking at another brand.
Even this years new model doesn't accept DTS over optical (page 10)

I think that's one of the main problem about these All-In-One DVD home cinemas, NOT able to decode DTS via the Optical In connection. I "think" it's a licensing problem, even though the manufacturers paid for the DTS decoding for the DVD player, they're not willing to pay for the DTS decoding via Optical In connection. Also these DVD A-I-Os are not designed to allow lots other connections from other audio sources.

I'm currently trying hard to find a main unit for my old Samsung DVD A-I-O home cinema (which I'm now using in my bedroom after upgrading the living room to a proper Sony AV receiver package, it's not a player, just loads connections for other sources, supports DTS, LPCM etc), this old Sammy didn't even have Optical In, so no true 5.1 audio from other sources, I like the speakers & sub and the sound quality so wanting to keep them, but it's so hard to find an upgrade just for the main unit, the speaker cables have special plastic plugs which only fits the same brand (e.g. Samsung) main unit.

anybody know a DVD home cinema that has Optical In which supports DTS decoding? (want to use it with the WDTV, which doesn't have DTS decoding) and preferably Samsung, so I can still use my current speakers.
