Good price for a top quality breadmaker (we have one at home, and it makes perfect bread every time!).

Amazon have it at around this price every now and then, and I notice its £67.84 now.

Update: Price now £64.95 (20th Apr)

Mine is still going strong after 2+ years and ~100 loaves. I'd have preferred the next model up with nut dispenser, as using a timer for overnight baking removes the option to add ingredients.

Have you recouped your monry yet?

Wasn't this £30 or so last year. It was great at that price...not so sure at this price.

I've used mine loads, it's not really about trying to recoup money, do you buy a fridge or microwave trying to recoup money? at £67 its a good buy and I can honestly say I've never made a bad loaf, unlike a cheaper breadmaker I've tried.

Every weekend. We put a loaf on the timer overnight, and wake up to the smell of a nice fresh loaf on a Saturday or Sunday morning.

Yum.

Good point. I suppose, that the ones in the shops are currently sitting idle. I'll pop into John Lewis this evening and ask if they'll give me one for nothing, as they are currently not using it. :whistling:

You're right - I bought it at £39.99 in December 2007 following a tip-off here. It's great and as another posted has commented, there's nothing like waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread on a Sunday morning.

I recently bought the SD255 as I wanted to make rye bread, so I am selling my SD254 for £35 collected from North London, High Barnet.

Thanks

By the way...this is now down to £64.95 on the Amazon website! Even more of a bargain.
