great TVs, 6 months ago i paid £100 more for 5 inches less on the previous gen screens

still happy with the purchase though :)

I posted a link to Dixons recenlty, purchased same TV for £615 with voucher AW10, plus quidco brings it down to about £600 delivered so similararly priced to ths deal.

TV arrived yesterday and seriously the excellent reviews are accurate, I dont feel you will get a better flat screen at this price, and its 42 inch which is bigger than most LCD in this price bracket. Ive looked at the Sony Bravia KDL40V3000 and the Panasonic wins hands down plus it has a claimed 100,000 hour panel life- over 30 years under normal usage!

Go buy it at this price you wont be disappointed!
had it three weeks now and its fantastic.. got john lewis to pricematch sound and vision, so got the tv for 648 but also got the john lewis 5 year guarantee, so well happy. its now went down to 625 at sound and vision.
I got John Lewis to price match Sound and Vision at £625 without any problems. Worth the little extra for the 5 year warranty I feel, but still a good spot from the OP.
similar price at s&v now, so jl should pricematch
There's no reason for John Lewis not to price match Laskys because they are also a retail outlet. Sound & Vision (currently selling @ £613.95} do have a retail outlet which John Lewis price match.

My advice to anyone who has been refused by one JL store is to try another as I've experienced a refusal from my local branch yet a price match acceptance from the next nearest store. Some John Lewis perform better than others. Of course the item must still be in stock and no increase in the price you quoted.

Prices can go up and down at anytime so ideally you need an efficient John Lewis branch. The good news is Laskys, Sound & Vision and Digital Direct have a price war on with this particular Panny so you can always quote the other.

I think Panasonic are offering a free 5 year guarantee until 31st July but this only applies to purchases made instore (not online) and only from authorized dealers.
Price war has brought it down to £602 at Sound & Vision. I'm going to see if John Lewis will price match to get the 5 year guarantee. Here's hoping.
Voted cold because I can.
