Yes, Yes, never heard of them.

If you mean the LED backlight LCD TV's that samsung et al are selling at the moment then yes this has a much better picture quality. Even better would be the current panasonic TX-P50G10 or the TX-P50S10
Both of the new sets are available from dixons etc for under £1150

The 50S10 has slightly better specs for not much more £'s (including Freesat HD if thats of interest) though both have superb 1080P pictures.

Yes, they are based in Huddersfield. Bought my Panasonic FreeSat TV from them in January. They are part of a company that also deal with laptops, servers, projectors etc etc. I saved over £300 at the time of purchase as well as a free 5 year Panasonic warranty.

Might be worth seeing if John Lewis sell this model, and get them to price match (+ 5 year warranty) as Direct TVs have an outlet store that you can purchase directly from.

The G10 is surely the better model, unless you have an extra £400 then you can get the V10 model which has a partial aluminium chassis as well as enhanced spec. From what I read, the S and X models are the basic ones.

Yep, the S10 is not full HD - 900 lines vs 1080 for the G10 and V10
