Panasonic TH42PX70PED
Panasonic continue their acclaimed Viera range with the sophisticated PX70 range, featuring built in freeview and hd Optimizer, finished in a design that quietly says "quality".

£904 collect at store or add £25 for delivery. I paid for del and received in 3 days. Instore price is £1199.

Great tv, very happy with my new plasma :)

Artemia - Note that Pixmania have this same plasma tv on offer for £876 (inc del at lowest charge) - there are also options to pick up in store but I have not confirmed this. You may want to also apply the discount code already posted on Hotdeals of 42PX70 - a £30 saving bringing the tv price to £846!

Is there anything wrong with buying this from pixmania.

Does is come with the wrong plugs ? What about the warranty, If anything goes wrong havent I got to send it back to Europe somewhere ?

Has anyone has any experience of this?

Seems a great price, anything remotely like it in England?

Yes. Their Customer Service stinks.

Welcome to the forums artemia :)

I did check pixmania but i dont think it includes the ped, or at least it didn't when I ordered. They still show the product as PANASONIC TH-42PX70 Plasma Screen and not Panasonic TH42PX70PED

Plus m dawes has local stores should you have problems.

Thanks for the welcome emmajk42 :)

Been browsing these forums for months but only just had something useful to post :)

They also have the 37" and i was tempted to buy this thinking the 42" may look a little big, I'm so glad I went for the 42" because it really does look good and not too big at all. The tv is great quality but very heavy when the ped is added, i think around 50kg.

PED , What's the PED?

Also. Availability: Out of stock at Martin Dawes.

:(

also they have the

Samsung PS42Q97HDX (Plasma) for £765.00 . (£909.95 Online at Comet)
http://www.martindawes.net/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=PS42Q97H&cid=&pcidl=&language=en-GB

or the

Samsung LE40R87BD (LCD) for £802.00
http://www.martindawes.net/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=LE40R87&cid=lcd&pcidl=&language=en-GB

Seem like good prices, maybe I should be posting these up.

Thats seems like a great deal, what does the Panasonic have over the Samsung ?

I would presume the PED bit stands for Pedestal.

Noticed Dixons have it in for £883 free delivery for the ped and £1083 with the cabinet, not too sure if there are any other codes available at the moment. 3% quidco will make them £856.50 and £1047.50 and the possibility of 5% for egg
#9
Also noticed the following code for £50 off if over £999 50APR07 or use 10APR07 for £10 off over £250. Has anyone succesfully combined egg and quidco?
If so how, as I am getting tempted by the 42" Panasonic with floor stand which might be down as low as £952 ish with the cashback (egg + quidco) and the discount code
#10
Yep, there's been a few of us that have managed to combine quidco and egg.
Simply go to dixons thru quidco and pay using egg. You don't need to use the egg link.

I got 10% cashback, 3% quidco, #50 off and money back from dixons (due to price decrease) that made the TH42PX70PED #715 or so.

Hi,

How did you get the 10% cashback from egg? Mine only shows 5%. And you say to go through quidco, but don't you need to click on the Dixons link from the Egg money web page?
#12
10% cashback from egg was a limited time offer mate, tho might happen again. Back to 5% now.

You don't need to click on the egg link, just go through quidco and use your egg card. Don't forget dixons discount code too
