Currys as of 7pm this evening have this set at just £499, there have been other deals on here for this exact set but none at under the £500 quid mark which I think is pretty good.

Good price - rubbish retailer
Only does 720p. Better TVs out their for prices near this one.
But Plasma is the way to go.

LOL. Read the reviews. you won't find a TV that gives a better image for both SD and HD material this side of a £1500 Pio Kuro.

Somebody had to say it :-D
Every time a thread for this telly comes up, some numpty who has no idea spoils it!!
Such a bargain
These pannies always come out top in the reviews, at this price I cant see anyone disappointed in the quality of the picture. Hate Currys with a vengence but have to admit that this is one hell of a price!!
I have got this TV and it is fantastic the picture is unbelievable, I got at 645 in May with a price match from John Lewis and thought I had got the bargain of the year. This price is fantastic if your looking to but a plasma then I can highly recommend this  Great Deal Heat and Rep given

One of the best TVs out, especially at this price. Panasonic Plasmas are arguble the best. Only beaten by Pioneer
bought same tv from royjawwett at colne in lancashire for £599 but included 5yr panasonic warranty which is worth more than words can I won't.
awesome telly, bought humax freesat and toy story on bbc hd last night ,,,,,,,,brilliant!!
forgot to mention sd slot for viewing digital pics! idiot-proof
same here paid £629 (+5 year warranty) 3 months ago replaced a 1080p samsung 40" and have never looked back awesome tv
heat added
does this come with a 5yr Warranty?
Nope one year, you can run monthly support or pay for a term cover. its expensive because it covers for accidental damage with no excess like a house insurance has, they shud offer a parts and labour option though so not to pay the insurance type premium for those who look after their stuff.

Great tv though amazing picture, you'd have to be insane to get that 42" LG instead!
Excellent TV!!! HOT price. I bought this for £799 a few months ago, the picture is AMAZING. Worth every penny considering there are so many poor plasmas/lcds on the market at the same price.
killer :(

spent nearly double on the 1080p version of this a few months ago and only run 720p sources through it! (v+ box and Xbox) (Xbox does everything internally at 720p then scales as appropriate)

Bargain not to be missed folks

Oh. Dear. Why even bother?
This has not expired?
Why did someone say it was?
Oh. Dear. Why even bother?

The one good thing is there'll be more quality TV's out there for the rest of us. Leave dopey 'it's got to be 1080p' McDopey to there own devices.

A 1080p tv doesn't guarantee a better pic quality over 720p.
The panasonic 5yr warranty promotion was only until 31st december, and only instore, and only at selected stores as per their microsite :

I suspect its also a UK only warranty - anyone know?

Too late now, and thats why the prices go up. But anyone know about the best alternative besides JohnLewis?

I doubt this model will fail tho.
