Apparently it doesn't support full HD over VGA (or component)

Knew it didnt support full HD over component but not VGA..seems a bit odd

will the cabinet at £99 at RGB fit the 42" version of this tv ?

Ordered this tv from selfridges yesterday with 5 yr warranty for £799. Doesn't have the cabinet though. I believe crampton and moore are doing it at £849 without the cabinet(if you don't need the cabinet) or £899 with the cabinet.

How do you order from Selfridges?

Do you have to go in store?

Just found a thread mentioning the deal at selfridges and they seem to have stock in the minus' :(

Hi guys I'm actually looking for this TV at the moment and the cheapest you can pick it up is from Dixons online with free postage for £908 but I think today is the last day for the £100 off offer.

Simply add the TV to the basket and enter the code "NEWYEAR100" to save the £100 and "DELTV" to get free delivery. As for the stand/cabinet you can pick up a nice black glass one at play or the like for around £30-£40.

Hope this helps someone.

£20 delivery mind you, so £928. Still a good deal, but if your after a proper panny stand then mine is a good option!

Have you seen it in person?

Whats the screen reflecion like?

This is true, i'm looking at a 2 week delay-which suits me as i have to decorate my lounge. The 5 year warranty is an offer through panasonic which ended yesterday. So cheapest at the mo is still crampton and moore i think (although this is an instore offer only) £899

Hi mate no it's free delivery with the code DELTV as mentioned above so £908. Personally wouldn't buy from Crampton and moore as they have a bad reputation of selling people graded stock as brand new and selfridges currently have no stock. I have the 42" TH-42PX80BA and if you sit at a decent angle i.e looking directly at the screen reflection isnt an issue at all. Even if you view the screen from an angle it is minimal, maybe just a slight blurring effect due to the thick glass but nothing at all to worry about. There are reports on here that the TH-46PZ85 uses a thinner sheet of glass which minimises further reflection issues. I'm currently after the 42/46" PZ80 or the PZ85 in either 42/46" for the living room. Not really bothered about the PZ81 as I don't have a satellite dish to take advantage of the Freesat which is built in.

Went into Comet yesterday to have a look at the set by the way at it looks really nice indeed, the PZ85 however looks a lot nicer, more sleek if you ask me but both sets are attractive. I don't need to tell you about the picture quality as I'm sure you know it's first class.

You can pick up the 50"er model Panasonic TH-50PZ80 from dixons with free delivery using the codes listed previously for £984 all in. Obviously without a stand but as I said there are tonnes of stands which have been reduced recently but you have a point, the panasonic cabinet looks really nice.

Although Selfridges currently have no stock they can still order them for delivery in 1-2 weeks so if you are not in too much of a rush and want to save a bit of money then £799 is as cheap as it gets at the mo (delivery is £40 mind but at £839 can anywhere else come close to this delivered ? , i doubt it very much.)

Hi.

Could be wrong on this but I thought I saw a 46" full HD Plasma in shop @ Panasonic for around £800 - £850? Is there a lower spec model that I am confusing this with?
#24
Just clicked the OP's link and the price is now showing at £899 inc free del and stand. :)

It could have been the TH46PZ8 which is also full hd (as are all the 'Z' models), but yes otherwise lower specification; lower contrast and number of colour graduations plus one less hdmi input.

#29
You can get this on a Selfridges price match with John Lewis for £799 at present including the 5 year guarantee.
#30
got this tv new years eve from selfridges while it still came with the 5 year panasonic warranty, also managed to get the panasonic stand brand new off ebay for £79.
#31
You will probably be aware, but if not, Costco are selling this tv for £770 (incl vat) from 02nd Feb

I was told by staff that if all tv`s are gone by the time I get to store during week that deal is on, I can put my name down on a reserve list and will get one when stock does come in
#32
But does the Costco come with a free 5 year warranty? If so who provides the warranty and what does it cover?
#33
yeah costco do give you 5 year cover.

I`m afraid I do not know who any details about cover
