We bought the 42" version along with the beautiful stand and 5 years warranty for £914 including delivery a few months ago (i previously posted the deal) and i can't explain how amazing this TV is but it's more than big enough for any room at 42".

This is a great offer. I have the 42" version and it's amazing.

One word of warning though. If you are specifically in the market for a 50" tv then I would wait until you can afford a 1080p capable one. The reason being that 1080p will really come into it's own on 50" HD ready screens. On 42" 720p is perfect and you are unlikely to see any real benefit from 1080p at a reasonable viewing distance. But on a 50" screen you will see a noticable difference between 720p and 1080p. For 50" screens it's 1080p all the way and this tv isn't capable.

Please bear in mind that the above is all in relation to HD broadcasts and not standard definition. But HD has taken off and the next year should really see more stuff coming through. It's so much better than SD and a 50" 1080p capable screen with a 1080p feed will looking out of this world.

HD may have taken off,but what tv company in this country offer 1080p output???
Blu ray aside, you wont get better for the money at the moment

Agree with Ebury, Sky hd only outputs 1080i so the panny will last a few years yet till the prices come down for anything that transmits 1080p. I to purchased the 42" PX60 and liked it so much I ended up selling it within 18 days and went for the 50" with CAB, paid £1400 including a 5 year warranty. If your thinking about going for it you wont regret it but they wont be around much longer as the new models are due out very soon.
