Well if they do (which i very much doubt tbh) they'll be next in line to go under as all their rivals will be getting cheaper , as is expected with all technology based items (in particular pc's/tv's etc)

Really glad it is - otherwise my bank would be £900 worse off.....

I really can't recommend Crampton & Moore. I live locally and bought from them a few months ago on the basis they were local. Asked them to deliver. Shocking service, bits missing and they really couldn't give a XXXX. If they can't be bothered to give decent service face to face, god only knows what they're like for online sales etc.

Bought this a few weeks back and the delivery was very poor...some bloke and his missus in a hatchback FFS and they laid it down flat too!!! I phoned C&M and they weren't too happy with my revelation as they say they pay a lot for delivery service so someone's getting a backhander!

...to the comment that 50" is just too big...it isn't, believe me. I haven't got a large lounge and it fits in lovely, if I'd got a 42" like originally planned I'd be disappointed I hadn't gone for the 50", you just get used to it and it's fantastic for BluRay!

I have this TV... 1) It's not too big, 2) HD channels /Blu-Ray are AMAZING even up close!! 3) Most virgin media SD Channels look very good, even though the reviews say they don't... I'd say get it, remember what the girls always tell us!? Size DOES matter! :O)

I think you need to do a 'google' mate on price increases for next year. Try Sony for starters. The rises are to do with the strength of the Yen against other world currencies. I've read similar reports for LG, Samsung and Panasonic. Others will no doubt follow....

And Panasonic 'go under' - don't make me laugh! :p

They have cut their projections for 2009 by a whopping 97% though! http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/Panasonic-slashes-09-view-strong/story.aspx?guid=%7B71A6960B-ABA1-47BD-A4B0-736F3F7C26D2%7D
