I think it's the same as the LXD70 with cosmetic changes (black chassis rather than black and silver)

Is it just me but the link doesn't appear to work? (zippy422 also mentioned this but no-one has replied). Also when I've tried to look up Panasonic e-shop via Google I can't fine anything much at all. Other than Panasonic online themselves where the set is close on £200 more expensive I think.
From what I've managed to find out it looks to me that this set is a new and slightly tweaked version of the LXD70 (on the Panasonic website the new models all seem to end in A and I saw on another site that had this model listed it was in the "new in" section). Of course I'm no TV expert and could easily be wrong.
If it is basically the same as the LXD70 then this is a very hot deal at about the same price as the LMD but as I can't actually seem to find the deal then that could be a little theoretical.

Info on this model - inaccurate as this specifies 2 HDMI ports when in fact it only has 1 according to the Manual that can be downloaded from Panasonic's Website via the support link...

Panasonic TX32LXD69A Spec

The place where you can get it for £509.92 (inc VAT & Delivery)...

Direct TVs - Panasonic TX32LXD69A

Voted HOT at this price! Although the TX32LXD70 is much better for under £100 more.

Ah, thanks for the links that actually work cyanide. Much appreciated.
This model seems to be a bit of a mystery. On the link you provided to the Panasonic site it says:-
Ease of Use Features
V-Audio - Bottom Speaker System (10W + 10W)
Integrated Digital Terrestrial Tuner
Viera Link for Easy Operation
PC Input
HDMI x 2
Scart x 2

Unless I am misunderstanding that.

But, like you mention, when you do download the instruction manual (via the manuals section on the Panasonic homepage) it does only seem to indicate there is 1 port. I would presume that to be the case. (although as I mentioned, unless I'm reading it wrong it seems strange that Panasonic would get it wrong themselves)
I'm looking for my first LCD (most like a 32") and had been looking at either the LMD or LXD70 but I really don't have a clue where this model fits into the range? Why is it better or worse than the LXD or LMD70? Price Runner show only 3 stockists (most well known being Asda) and have it listed as "new"
Also has anyone ever dealt with "Direct TVs" before? Any feedback - good or bad? I looked for some reviews and they were generally very bad rather than good. Many mentioning poor after sales service.
Although you do tend to find that the disgruntled customer is more likely to post a review than the satisfied one (they're probably too busy watching TV!) it is definitely a worry and may well put me off ordering from here.
But in terms of price (£60 cheaper than the next best) and Panasonic quality it definitely looks a hot deal assuming that Direct-tvs are sound.

I believe there is a mixup on the Panasonic site regarding spec of the TX32LXD69A - those specs are in fact for the TX32LXD70.

The TX32LXD70 is better because it has 2 HDMI ports and 100Hz scanning (TX32LXD69A has 50Hz scanning) to eliminate motion smear during fast moving scenes - useful especially when watching football. It also has better contrast ratio at 8500:1 and higher audio output (2 x 10W) and it looks better with the silver border (IMHO)! I speculate that it has improved image processing the VReal 2 engine - something again not found in the TX32LXD69A documentation.

The specs that you see on Direct TV's website is entirely accurate as it most closely matches the manual. This leads me to conclude that it is the direct predecessor to the TX32LXD70 hence why you cannot find it anywhere else as it is a discontinued model.

As for Direct TV's reputation, I cannot comment as I have never ordered from them. However, they seem to be a much better outfit than other organisations as you can talk to them on the phone and can visit their showroom (in the North!). See the FAQ on their website for details of their history. Apparently, they won a "PC Pro Award" in 2006 as Highly Commended.
