24 hour flash deal @ Amazon - decent price for a 39 inch TV

- Panasonic TX-39A400B Full HD 1080p Slim LED with Narrow Bezel - This is a slim and stylish TV with a very narrow frame around the screen that will look great in many different rooms and homes. As well as being slimline, LED TVs produce bright, eye-catching pictures and use less energy than traditional LCD or Plasma TVs.

- Built in Freeview HD Turner for free-to-air viewing in High Definition
100hz Back-Light Blinking switches the backlight off between frames to hide the lag whilst the TV panel responds

- High Contrast - Dedicated processing in the TV improves the contrast, making the dark areas seem rich and deep and the bright areas stand out. Higher contrast makes detail easier to see and brings out the full depth of an HD TV.

- USB Connection - A handy USB slot allows you to view your digital photos and movies on the big screen. It will even play your digital music from a USB stick.

**********************************************************************************************

Update 19/06 11:05 - Richer Sounds have dropped their price in response to the Amazon offer. They are offering the same TV for £299 (£20 more) but you get a 5 year warranty (instore only offer).

Just having a look and I think Richer sounds sells the same model which is reduced to £329
http://www.richersounds.com/product/tv---all/panasonic/viera-tx39a400b/pana-tx39a400b

Looking at the web page it looks as if they will price match and give a 5 year guarantee and also an extra £5 discount.

Can anyone else confirm this before I add to OP

They will only match it after adding the cost of the warranty and next day delivery. Hope that helps. :)

It's a good price, but it's never been sold for £499.99 on Amazon. I voted hot, but it's not as hot a deal as is being implied.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how this might compare to the Samsung UE32H5000. John Lewis has it at the same price with 5 yr warranty. Not bothered about the difference in screen size, just quality of image for David Attenborough and Mario Kart 8. http://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-ue32h5000-led-hd-1080p-tv-32-with-freeview-hd/p1451062

It shows only 2 Hdmi and 1 scart I think.

Good deal voted hot.
I got this updated 2014 model below for £350 last week, superb crisp picture, minimal bezel and very thin from the back,

I commented on this last night - see earlier comments (comment 4) but looks like they have dropped the price in response to this offer now to £299. This is still £20 more expensive but you get the 5 year warranty (in-store only). Will add to OP.

thanks

First review on Amazon says 2 HDMI ports. I'd love to buy this, but only bought a 720p 42" Plasma Panasonic in December 2012 for gaming so I can't justify changing so soon. :(

The five year warranty is definitely worth paying the extra £20 and buying at Richer Sounds.

Unless you pass a RicherSounds store, you also need to factor in fuel. Sounds silly, but for me it is over £15 of fuel making it percentage wise, a lot more than Amazon. And that is before I put a value on my time.

5 year warranty still good though.

I find it funny to see "curved screen" TVs currently being advertised. We went from curved to FST to flat and now are headed back to curved again.

Yes but it's curved the other way. ;-)
Great if you watch tv on your own, but not so great if there's more than a few of you.
