I have been looking at the best deals for this TV after reading all the good reviews it received and called John Lewis Bluewater who agreed to price match Richer Sounds in store price of £670.90 (inc 5 year guarantee). I know it's not that much of a saving but Richer Sounds do not have it in stock. Plus, John Lewis customer service is excellent and I have never has any problems using the guarantee. Up until yesterday, John Lewis had this TV advertised for £799 but they have dropped it to £699.

Though as it's online only, you won't get JL to price match.

But it doesn't have freesat and the reviews for that TV are not as good. As far as i know that range is the budget range but being Panasonic, still ok. 42" is too big for my room.

Maybe if you post like for like instead of just plucking any Panasonic out of the air?

Point take but then this is collection:

And still cheaper with the extra warranty

in case you haven't seen thread from M&S offer as it's got a bit buried, there's a 42 inch one for around £50 more inc. blu ray player and 7 discs. Also 5yr guarantee on TV

If I was you I'd have a look at the LG 42LF7700 which Richer Sounds are currently doing at £599, and get JL to price match them and hence gain JL 5yr. A friend got one last month at £549 (the then RS price) from JL - and very happy indeed. Remember a 42" is actually 30% more screen than 37" so £50 cheaper and a lot more TV :)

Something I didn't know until the other day was that the Panasonic 32" and 37" G10 are LCD whereas anything above 42" in a G10 series are Plasma - very confusing.

Thanks for the heads up but I only want a 37". Nothing worse than big tv's taking over a whole room. The 37" is optimum viewing for our room/seating etc.
