This one's just about the DEAL folks -i.e. I have NO interest in the relative merits of LCD vs Plasma, or Panasonic vs Sony, etc. (Can all the anal retentives who want to argue that LCD or Plasma is CLEARLY superior please take your propaganda to somewhere that cares....)
This strikes me as a cracking deal on the biggest 1080p Panasonic LCD - saving about £125 over the next cheapest deal.
Tesco Direct currently has the TX-L42S10B at £654.97 (delivered). That's a pretty good price and about £50 cheaper than anywhere else. However, Tesco also currently has a £50 grocery voucher offer on any full 1080p TV. That's effectively £50 cash to anyone who regularly shops at Tesco. In addition, there's 649 Clubcard points on the purchase, which is worth a further £12.98 on Tesco shopping under "double-up" (and possibly more as 4x in "deals"). Finally there's 3% Quidco off the ex-VAT price (i.e. a further £16.95)
That means for £654.97 you can get the TV AND £62.98 off your Tesco shopping bill AND £16.95 in cashback. In other words you can get the TV for £575.04, or about £125 cheaper than the nearest competitor....
Hope this helps someone.
