A great screen at a great price. Picture quality is far superior to most LCD screens for the type of material most people watch. Pity it is Comet though, they will not sell to all areas of the UK.

please! would the 1080 brigade give it a rest. broken records are tedious

At £500 I would expect a TV to have 1080 as standard. I dont really see any difference in general but to be honest you should be expecting 1080 on a TV of this size. Oh and I own a 720 only TV before people start harassing me about being a definition snob, however I know value for money and I dont see it on this particular TV.

Just bought one of these. They are brilliant TV's. The picture on normal res Sky is very very good. Great sound too. On high Def my Xbox 360 looks superb. Voted Hot.

my point exactly its not a major flaw that it doesnt have 1080p its just there are 1080p tvs for the price. like the ones i showed. on the other hand it is panasonic and yes like others pointed the picutre is probably good. Another minus is that its plasma which is being replaced by led tvs but those are quite expensive right now. 42 inch version of the tv at cdiscount is much better value if you get the 20% account credit.

We've got 2 panasonic plasmas, 37px60 & 46pz80, first being a 720p display. They are both great. 1080p is brilliant but on a size like 37" its hard to notice the differences, also you'll need to be sitting closer to the TV.

The 720p sets are very capable of making a good job of hi def material. Would recommend a Panasonic over most brands of plasma, apart from Pioneer who are/where the kings in the plasma world.

I don't get it, why is £500 for a 37" plasma hot? Sorry, cold from me

I had a Panasonic 37 plasma for over a year not sure of spec just that the pic is noe of the best I have seen, esp in SD which most of us will be watching in for a while yet.. HD on the playstaion and blue ray are really good too. For the quality of picture I doubt you will get better than this. Interesting that I paid about this price for it so it looks like Plasmas are getting better spec but price has pretty much as low as they are going unless you go for a unknown brand with a poor picture!
