Do John Lewis price match Amazon.

Although John Lewis have 5 year warranty which isn't like for like.

Do John Lewis price match online stores?
#3
No, they won't price match Amazon - on stores with real shops you can go into, within 8 miles of the JL.
#4
Currently £749.99 at Richersounds and if you have a John Lewis nearby they will price match Richersounds and 5 year warranty. Hopefully this will drop below £700 soon as I really want this tv.

Match Richersounds price of Price+10% Supercare I assume?

Supercare has been great on my audio stuff but I'm after that John Lewis Warranty as my parents used it for years primarily keeping two big Sony CRTs in order over a decade.

Is that 8miles confirmed? If so then that means Richer Sounds is with reach of John Lewis Brent Cross, also applies to Peter Jones/John Lewis in Central London

Fine if you can get to RicherSounds (only available instore) and have a vehicle that can transport it vertically - otherwise add another £9.99 for delivery. This TV was under £700 in pixmania earlier this week but for one day only (plus £19.99 delivery) - but I'd rather buy from Amazon. Undoubtedly prices are up and down for Panasonic plasmas, but the general trend is down. I don't think we will see the G10 dropping below £700 (incl delivery) again this year though.

JL should match the RS webprice, just check that RS have the tv instock and JL is near enough to RS to price match. JL 5 year warranty is the standard 5 year warranty they give with all tv's, even after price match.

As a side note on one of the comments - avoid pixmania - CS is utterly ***** and they are best to avoid.
#9
great deal, certainly won't be less than £700 anytime soon, unless funded by freesat...which it wont be.

After taking a few days to decide on what TV to get I bought this one a few months back

Very happy and paid about £780ish so this is a good deal

Great TV and works fantastic with SKY+HD, PS3, DVD and anything I throw at it

Bloody fantastic set, nearest thing to a Pio, great features too. highly recommended, great price too

just read this comment what do u think?
well tbh i think this tv is an absolute failure, the trails are off the scale, if the camera pans on a movie its game over.

Playing games is a joke, for me its as if the tv layers one frame ontop of the other keeping all the previous pixels lit.

I have taken pictures of a game and you clearly see the previous frame still showing. i can’t aim in games any more.

I watched the blueray transformers on it, it was nasty as hell as soon as action started.

i am very disappointed with the set.

Sounds broken. These models have got pretty much universal praise.

Looked at one of these today, very dark. Going to try my console on it sometime this week when I have the chance.
#15
So this has Feesat and a TV tuner? Does the tv tuner mean Freeview or old analouge 1-5?

I bought the 46 inch version of this TV a couple of months ago after reading many reviews saying how good it was. To be honest I have been very dissapointed with it, poor over all picture quality and very bad colour banding on it.After paying a grand for it I expected a great picture and its no better than my old 10 year old panasonic was.

I have this TV and it's amazing.

I'm really surprised at the mixed comments, check your settings guys, go to avforums and look for the thread discussing optimum set-up.

Just had 50" version and it was awfull on standard definition. High definition was amazing though, but 90% of the time we watch SD not HD so ive changed to the X10 model, which is much better on SD and only lags behind a little on HD. Also nearly £250 cheaper.

Does anyone know if Amazon are one of the dealers doing the free five-year panasonic warranty? If they were I'd buy this like a shot... otherwise it's a John Lewis job...

EDIT: Forget I asked. That promotion expired 30/09/09...

It is a great tv btw. standard def and hd are all great. you should definately buy.
