Possible £37.73 quidco too meaning if it tracks the price will come down to £648.27

No they are not - urban myth. However it is likely that future TVs, plasma included, will be subject to stricter energy efficiency regulation. California is looking at banning TVs, not just plasma, that fall short of strict energy ratings. no one is suggesting banning them outright.

However the G10 is slowly getting replaced by the G15 and a new range later next year.

This is a good price but would hesitate buying something like this from Pix, based in France, should anything go wrong and with no extended warranty in place.
