I don't think you will currently find this cheaper anywhere else. I've just ordered mine.

Very highly rated TV - this is the model up from the very popular TX-P42G10.

Use the code LSTV5 during checkout to get the 5% discount.

Comet are still trying to sell these for £1,199 !!

Why do the G15's have such a poor contrast when compared to the G10?

Why do the G15's have such a poor contrast when compared to the G10?

Is that your own conclusion or from tests by a review site? Can you give more details on where you got this statement from?
The G15 range doesn't offer much more than the G10, VieraCast is one that comes to mind, so your better off sticking with the G10 for a cheaper price or else go for the the V10 range or LG's 47LF7700 if your willing to spend a bit more and do not need Freesat built-in.

Well i'm using the Currys website as my source of reference. The G10 usually has a contrast of 2million to 1 where as this G15 model has a contrast of 40,000 to 1.

Both models have the same contrast ratio.

The G15 is:

9mm Thinner
Has 'Deep Colour'
An extra HDMI port
Viera Cast
DLNa & DivX

Full specs, see:

The cheapest I could find the G10 for was £711 - I was willing to pay the extra £49 for the above.

The V10 is very nice but at £200 over the price of the G15 was out of my budget.

Also, if you wanted the G10, you could have bagged a free bluray play and 7 bluray discs for £699 from JL if you were lucky and quick off the mark yesterday.

For anyone after the G15, this in reality is not much more and this is currently the best deal online and gets decent user reviews.
Remember you can also get 3% Quidco cashback making the overall deal £737.18

I must say having the ability to stream media wirelessly from your computer to the TV is a huge advantage over the G10 - this deal should be much hotter. H&R to the op for this deal.

Hi, the major benefit which you get in G15 over G10 is viera cast where you can connect to Youtube and watch HD videos directly. However, i been to Panasonic shop and they said if you get BD60 Blu Ray Player it has got the viera cast withing Blu Ray player. So, if you get M&S deal for G10 or John Lewis deal (if it comes back in stock) for G10 with Bluray Player, I guess you get viera cast benefit by paying a lot less compare to G15 from Currys as you get 5 year warranty & 7 Blu ray films as well.

I'm sure I read somwhere that the Viera Cast on the bd60 bluray is a watered down version. Its missing a couple things e.g Eurosport.
