Another cracking deal. Was posted earlier at John Lewis for £599.99 with 5 year warranty but if you are not fussed on the warranty you can get it for less than £500.

Enter voucher code TV3 for 28% off £799.99 = £575.99

Plus 15% cashback via quidco/topcashback reduces it further to £489.60.

Selling for £579.99 on amazon

Panasonic TX-P42G20B 42" Plasma Full HD 1080p TV

Panasonic's Viera TX-P42G20B is a feature-packed plasma television that combines great quality picture and sound with inbuilt Freeview HD and freesat HD tuners and wireless capability.

This set offers 1080p Full HD, and with Panasonic's 600Hz technology that actually means 1080 lines of resolution. This will make your Blu-ray discs and freesat HD picture shine, and even standard definition images will look great. Even fast-moving action sequences or sports will look great, and as each frame is displayed for slightly less time, after-images are reduced compared to earlier systems. This Viera set is also certified by THX, a guarantee that is only attached to TVs that are optimal for watching films, meaning that the stunning images you see are exactly as the film-makers intended.

If you have a suitable satellite dish, the built-in freesat tuner will enable you to watch free to air HD channels from the BBC and ITV, with more content to come in the near future. Even if you don't have a dish, the Freeview tuner means you can just plug into your existing aerial and take advantage of dozens of free-to-air digital television and radio channels.

The TX-P42G20B also has Viera Cast technology. This service, exclusive to Panasonic's Viera televisions and Blu-ray players, allows you to access online content from a wide range of services including YouTube, Eurosport, Bloomberg and Picasa. This means you can move seamlessly from your holiday snaps to the news, weather, music videos, whatever you fancy, via Viera Cast's easy to use interface. Additional DLNA compatibility means that this Viera television can access media stored on other household devices, such as your home computer, and display it on your television.

The TX-P42G20B has two USB slots, and is wireless ready - you just need to plug in an optional wireless dongle for wireless connectivity. built-in SD card slot and handy thumbnail displays make it a breeze to sort through and display your snaps - just insert an SD card and go. There are even options to add background music and display effects from the television's setup menu. As well as your JPEG photos, the SD card reader can read your home video footage in AVCHD or MPEG2 file formats.

Great price for the TV. Works out dearer than JL if you add 5 year warranty though. I've voted hot for those who don't want the extra warranty.
#2
I was looking at this 10 mins ago but the 15% cashback probably wont work if you use the 28% discount code?

The 15% cashback is seperate through quidco/topcashback. Cannot see why you would not get it. It would apply to all purchases

hmm very tempting I rarely get 5 year warranties cause I have never had an LCD TV fail on me

I read here somewhere before that "To get an extra 4 years from Panasonic (bought from any shop) you call this number 01344 706723. Its done by screen size42" = £97.0650" = £128.3465" = £407.03"

By the time you've done that, you might prefer to buy from JL for 599 and avoiding any uncertainty over cashback.
EDIT - except it's OOS @ JL now

Especially as Panasonic quote £135 on their website for the 5 year warranty when you register this TV

I will probably wait until JL get it back in stock...

quidco states code only, not in the code + cashback section, thats how i read it.could be wrong tho

Confusing isn't it? First, the 28% off code is listed in the 'Best Buy Voucher Codes' section, NOT the 'Best Buy Voucher Codes WITH CASHBACK' section.

BUT, on the right it states, ' Members should only use voucher codes listed on Quidco. If you use voucher codes that are not listed on Quidco your cashback may not track or be declined.'

shows sub total as £579.98

anyway the 15% cashback is a major factor in this , if you dont get it then this aint a Hot deal !
#13
can someone please confirm that you get all the discount bringing the price down to £489
#14
i've got it down to £579.98 with the tv3 code and i think the cashback looks promising, i'm thinking of taking the plunge with this.
with cashback is it not £492.11?

how much was this TV when it first came out? anybody...?

how much was this TV when it first came out? anybody...?
around 1100.

so half price

i wouldn't count on the quidco cashback as they state you cannot combine codes unless Quidco is the supplier of the code.

but still a good deal especially if you missed out on the JL deal

NOT SO THE CASE FOR topcashback.co.uk UK's most generous cashback website.
You can use the code AND get cashback.
#19
Can usae Topcashback instead of Quido. They infact give 15.15% cashback which is better than Quidco.
#20
Good deal. I am hoping the 50" drops, fingers crossed.

The code TV3 is NOT a quidco code. I found it here on offeroftheday website:

http://www.offeroftheday.co.uk/best-buy/clearance-sale-items

Topcashback should be fine.
#22
I would get one if the situation on the discount was clearer.
#23
Unbelievable I paid 800 just a month and a half ago from JL. Does anyone know if John Lewis will price match and reimburse this long after the sale? Awesome tv regardless.
#24
Comming up as reserve and collect only for me and not a best buy in scotland?
#25
An amazing price if the cashback goes through. Voted hot.

The TV3 code seems available through the Quidco website too.

how did you manage to get the home delivery, cause the option is not available and you can only get the cashback thru delivery on both topcashback and quidco and not reserve and collect
#27
It was available for home delivery when I looked in the afternoon, at around 1.30 pm.

damn my late shifts:(:( i saw the posting earlier at work but opted to wait till i finished at 22.00 hrs and now delivery is not an option, damn! i say again. has your quidco/topcashback tracked?
#29
I didn't end up buying it, unfortunately. I spotted it at work, like yourself, and only posted the comment when I got home. Didn't notice that it was no longer available for home delivery.

Bummer .... coming up as "Reserve and Collect" only, no "Home Delivery" - why? - so just qualifies for the 28% discount, not the extra 15%, and a total of £579.98, 1p cheaper than Amazon/Laskys. And out of stock at John Lewis at £599 with 5 yr guarantee.

DAMN!
#31
It is £458.00 in Costco with 5 year warrenty! Offer ends tomorrow!

I think that is the S20, not the G20.

This is now working again for home delivery (I agree that it was not working last night though)

Not at 8 a.m. Just got out of bed to check.

Just realised Reserve & Collect doesn't qualify for Quidco. Seems Best Buy can learn a bit from the likes of Comet.

as any body got cash back yet from topcashback as they are seams dropping the amounts when paying out its happens with viking also bestbuy
#36
i have £74.78 payable. Looks like they dropped it from 15% to 10%.
I'm sure it definitely tracked higher than this
