no quibbling on the great price. Just making people aware of the issues with these Panasonic plasmas (for SOME people)

I've just noticed that the offer code expires at midnight tonight.

Not expired. It did it automatically when i added 11/10 as the expiry date. Updated it to 12/10.

I am stuck between this set the S20 or the Samsung C650. Only thing holding me back is which set will be best for online gaming on my Xbox 360.

Great price still very hot!

Because this is a plasma you will get image retention if you play games on it. Same with the s20. It might not bother you but just letting you know. Apart from that it will have very little input lag inherent in plasmas.
The Samsung C650 on the hdtvtest review was found to have quite significant input lag. In comparison the c580 is a better tv for games because it had lower input lag, same with the c530 very negligible input lag.
Personally Id go with an LCD for gaming and get the c580. It is only a 50Hz set but I personally think any implementation of 100Hz that I've seen gives worse motion than 50Hz.
The blacks on the c580 are very impressive, my brothers got one and it compares very well to a 2008 panasonic plasma I have.

I play MW2 for hours on my g10 and haven't noticed any IR and my OH leaves some of the living/music channels on for most of the night and no IR from their logos on screen.

My OH dad has a g20 and i swear the picture quality is better than my G10, not sure if this is because the G20 has THX mode and the g10 doesn't.

thanks Mr-Smooth my only concern is I have read posts on AVForums that Panasonic plasmas don't handle 50hz Xbox games very well. They have bad motion blur?

Re image retention - heard of that in the 90's but we are in 2010 now. Who would care about retention? It goes after a mintues or tech setting. You mean burn in? Not seen either on plasmas so that is why I asked why not, personally I WOULD pick plasma for my purchase. I want a good tv for football and gaming and pretty sure plasma is the answer.
