Bear with me on this one...

So i bought this TV with my mums discount as she works for homebase (10% off) making it £252 - Obviously not everyone will be able to do this.

Its been delivered and all fine...

I rang Argos today and said the description of the spec is wrong - it says the pixel is 1920 x 1080 when the TV is HD ready (I knew this). The lady said i can get a refund or she can offer me £25 to keep the TV.

I thought it may have only been me but my friend also rang and was offered the same discount...

so 280 - 25 = £255

Bargain! even without any additional discounts

May help someone

Thanks

To people less techy - HD Ready is 720p, not 1080p.

I'm not a techy type of person but from what I've read:

Generally speaking, if you sit more than 10 feet away from your TV, and your display isn’t bigger than 50 inches diagonally, you won’t be able to tell the difference between 720 and 1080.

It does say it's only HD Ready in the headline description.
