True, but I don't know anyone who gives up the membership once they have it, it carries a lot of benefit.

How do you get membership and how much does it cost?

Do you have to be a registered company?

Or they have the 50inch version (TXP50G20B) for £1057.84 - again including 5 year warranty

You can buy a personal membership instore, I think it costs about £20 - you get a card with your photo on, so you can't allow friends /family to use the card. Though you can take others in with you on your card.

I think it's worth £20 for the return policy alone. They allow you to return items with a no-quibble policy if you are disatisfied with it for any reason. I once bought a juicer, used it a couple of times, then never forgot about it. About a year later I found it in the cupboard and thought ... what a waste, so I took it back and they gave me a full refund - I felt a little cheaky, but I don't abuse this and I figured ... that's what I pay the membership for!

I guess if you only want the TV, you could claim the 5 year warranty will cost you £100 as this is the approximate cost of 5 years Costco membership.

Scratching around to try and find cheapest price for the 42in model and hence get John Lewis to pricematch, best I've found for the TXP42G20B is £849 would like to squeeze it under £800 but may struggle.
