Ok I know this deal has been posted before but unlike others this one includes a free Panasonic 5 year guarantee.

Richer Sounds is listed as a participating dealer for the 5 year guarantee on this model.

To get it for this price you'll have to pick the TV up instore and tell Richer Sounds you've seen it on their website for this price otherwise they'll charge you £650.

From their website: - 'Prices valid in store (all including VAT) until the close of business on the date below (some of these web prices are cheaper than in-store, so please mention that youve seen these offers online)'

Please see the link below for participating dealers:

http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/Dealers/Independent+Dealers/1164787/index.html#anker_1164790

The guarantee forms to send off to Panasonic should be available instore but if not you can find it here:

http://www.weymouthhifi.co.uk/pana%205%20year%20may%20june%2009.pdf

This model qualifies for the 5 year guarantee unlike the Panasonic 42" Plasma TXP42C10 as detailed on the guarantee form.

From Richer Sounds website:

"Great picture performance at the price" What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine

What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision magazine don't dole out their 5-star awards lightly, so to win one a product has to be pretty special: and that's exactly what the new Panasonic TX-P42x10 is.

Featuring a brand new, G12 plasma panel, the TX-P42X10 offers a stunning contrast ratio of 2,000,000:1 - that's an impressive 33% improvement on the previous model. Improvements in panel performance have come about from improved production process incorporating the new Real Black Drive system (a pre-discharge system) and raising the base illumination. All signals also benefit from 100Hz technology. 100Hz technology gives a more stable picture with less flicker and reduced motion blur.

As ever, we'd always recommend a separate home cinema system for the best sound quality, although the built-in system offers enhancements over previous models. V-Audio Surround gives a spacious sound based on actual room measurement from the onboard digital signal processor. Combined with the "invisible" speakers, it gives a crisp, well-detailed sound quality.

In this age of HD, it's good to see that the latest Panasonic plasma TV has 3 HDMI sockets - ideal for an HD TV receiver, Blu-ray player and upscaling DVD. One of these is side mounted making it ideal for an occasionally connected device such as a games console. In addition to this, twin SCART sockets, VGA (for a PC) and component inputs are on hand for analogue sources. A slightly more unusual fitment, but still welcome nonetheless is a SD card reader. This easily accessible slot is perfect for showing pictures taken on your digital camera. The HDMI VIERA link has been upgraded to allow the connection of Panasonic LUMIX digital cameras. Once connected you can use the TV's remote control to playback stored images on the camera.

With a softly contoured stand and sleek new finish, the TX-P42x10 looks smarter than its predecessors. Always a class favourite, the new Panasonic TX-P42x10 is now better than ever.

DOES NOT INCLUDE 5 YEAR GUARANTEE THIS COSTS £62
- fragaliciousbob

Does *not* include RicherSounds *own* 5 year warranty, but, it *does* qualify for Panasonic's 5 year guarantee offer (i.e. from Panasonic not RS).

I got the 50" version delivered this morning and it's great. Heard a lot of complaints about the sound on this model but i've found it more than acceptable.
definitley recommend

And then they go on to offer

WITH 5 YEAR GUARANTEE AT £61.95 EXTRA LOL

Won't be selling many of them then...
#3
This deal DOES NOT include the 5 year warranty, if you actually read the richer sounds page it's not hard to see.

However, the 5 year warranty for £62 isn't too bad really.

EDIT: You can pick it up instore from RGB direct WITH the 5 year warranty for less -

That list is for shops selling Panasonic TV's not the list of shops offering this deal. As places like RS and Currys sel their own warranty I doubtthey will be offering this deal.

I'd say the population of London would account for a fair portion of the country, and as Essex isn't exactly hard to get to quite a few people would happily go to RGB to pick up a TV (in fact a colleague of mine from work in London did).

Not that it matters now seeing as RGB have bumped the price back up  .

84% of the population of the UK don't live in Greater London or Essex

84% of the population of the UK don't live in Greater London or Essex

So around 9 million people may find somewhere like RGB useful?
Your point is?

I see posts get hot on here because some Asda in the middle of effing nowhere has a toaster for half price, so why is my suggestion such a bad thing?
Seriously, xxxxxxxxx unless you have something useful to say, I'm just pointing out something that may actually benefit people.

Minimum price here seems to be £600 unless I'm missing something...

BTW I phoned my nearest Richer Sounds a few weeks ago to ask if they participated in this free Panasonic warranty deal on the X10. I was told they DIDN'T - they would obviously be preventing sales of their own warranty. I'm not saying others are wrong, but I would recommend ringing your store first...

PS. You can always pricematch RS with John Lewis and get their 5yr warranty - that's what I did.

£589 code 5 tv brings it down to £560 and then up to £30 of amazon vouchers through site offer so could be £530

You can't.

I've yet to see anyone on this thread confirm how you can get the Panasonic warranty through RS. As I said on an earlier post - I actually rang RS and they said they weren't part of this promotion.
#33
deal should be expired then?
also how did you price match with john lewis? rang them and they dont stock this tv nor have it on the website?
