But you can find great 1080p/1080i's for this price. Brrrrrr.

worth going from a 32" to a 42" of should I go straight to a 50"?

Got one of these last week for my dad, got JL to pricematch Richer Sounds at £569.

Includes the JL 5 year warranty, but had to pick it up from JL store - no great shakes.

Good price though!

you sure can but if you mainly watch sd tv and normal dvd's you are better off with a set like this.

better blacks and motion than a similar priced 1080p LCD will get you!
less pixels to upscale too

plus if you sit more than a round 7-8 feet away from your tv and have a 42" set you will need very good eyes to see the difference between 720p and 1080p

this forum has been through this a million times before....

that's pretty good - my friend has no way to pick up otherwise I would recommend he tries that on! Richer sounds showing £599 in their brochure for this set though now?

And with most TV source material (even if you have SkyHD) being SD it will look better on this 720p panel.

Read the reciews...this is an outstanding panel and the image quality for both SD and HD will put virtually anything other than a Kuro to shame

Still 569, only availailable INSTOE, which was my arguement with JL, who caved in and pricematched over the phone in minutes!

I had phoned them two days earlier and they sent me an e-mail from the undersale department saying they would match the 629 instore price.

They agreed to match the 569 if I picked it up, which I did, fitted into rear seats of car nae probs.

It was the Glesca JL that I used, nearest to Mecca:roll:

I don't even entertain the 1080p brigade BTW. No args from me, you want 1080p you buy one.
