Not bad. But considering the fact that HD, widescreen camcorders are falling in price, it seems silly to get an SD, full-screen one.

not bad at all. Prefer hard drive camcorders instead though.

Silly? what about technophobes and people on low incomes, do they really need to spend an extra £300 to record some memories in HD?
Don't know about anyone else but the best holidays and days out Ive had are when Ive left the camcorder at home. :)

Am I right in thinking the quality of video from DVD camcorders are not as good as mini dv?
Cheers,
Dave.

Nice deal, The next best price is £299 @ "RGB Direct UK" a saving of £170 odd quid, Dvd camcorders have really come down in price no where no as expensive when they was first launched at around the £1,000 mark, at £128 for this bit of kit its a bargain so I bought one going to sell my old PANASONIC NV-DS15B camcorder, should get about £80 for it on e-Bay.

I bought this about a year ago for £170 from argos - does a good job - but BEWARE it is likely to come with no software and therefore can be a bit of a nightmare to save onto computer, edit, burn to normal DVD etc.

its not a bad price and recording to dvd is quite handy especially if its for giving as a present to someone who isnt very good with technology like a parent or grandparent

would make a decent fathers day present (if yours doesnt have a camcorder)

I used Womble - free 28 day trial - works ok
#12
its now a different price?

Youre better off paying the extra and getting a hybrid camcorder with a hard drive and dvd drive
