HDTV review:

"Given that other LED side-lit products have exhibited severe screen uniformity issues, something which the Panasonic TX-L42D25 is free of, this makes it a strong contender in this category. "

This is a great product recommendation at a great price, if you are in the market for an LED display and want the best performance for the price you pay... this is a must see.

UPDATE (for 699gbp) : better deal at Laskys (thanks to danbar) ; http://www.laskys.com/tv_and_dvd/led_tvs/led_tvs_40_to_46_inches/panasonic_tx_l42d26b.html

Quidco it at 3.5% and it comes down to 675gbp.

Apparently it is the same model, but its exclusive to Comet. (http://answers.comet.co.uk/answers/0331-en_gb/product/633712/questions.htm)

Plasma? I don't like glare... hate it... I know plasmas are crazy good when it comes to quality, but I don't like the glare.. even the slightest glare and I am out.

If you are into plasmas look into http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/tvs/lg-pk590-50pk590-review-49305400/

You can get it for as cheap as 640gbp... great deal for a 50 incher...

The TX-L42D26B is available at Laskys.com for £699, with 3.5% Quidco this brings it down to £675.

According to the comet website this has the same specification as the TX-L42D25B but is exclusive to the Comet group. Although I think it may be only 100Hz rather than 200Hz and the colour is black.

weird, the 100hz may be actually fine.. coz, the 200hz in this model comes as 100hz from the LCD panel and 100hz from the backlit leds, its not very clear... but its regarded as 200hz. Either way, for 100+ quids difference I think its I will take 100hz, coz I read in an article once that difference between 100 and 200hz can be minimal, and often you don't notice it.

Yeah I wanted that TV however there is absolutely no way I can fit 50 incher in my lounge without wall mounting it and I don't want to do that.

Good for you, it'd fit in two of my bedrooms no problem. It's the location of my TV in the lounge that makes it difficult not the size. If I didn't have a fire place I'd have no issue.
